Quaker oat meal is about the healthiest breakfast food available. Never forget the super qualities of fresh fruit for breakfast. I will fix the oats, slice up a whole banana into it, sweeten it (sweet n low) and add a healthy sprinkle of cinnamin say two or three times each week. I also eat an apple on my way to work.

- Try making your own muesli one weekend. Mix oats, wheat flakes, nuts, seeds (pumpkin, poppy and linseed are good) and dried fruit eg raisins, dates, cranberries together in a big bowl, then store in an airtight jar. Great stirred into low fat yoghurt, or serve with a splash of milk and sliced banana.
TIP: For a nice filling snack, leave out the oats and wheat flakes and keep a jar of the mixture in your desk drawer to fend off attacks of the munchies! Nuts and seeds sound high-fat, but they do contain lots of protein and useful vitamins and minerals. Obviously you shouldn't go overboard, but some studies have shown they can help stop you getting hungry.
- If you want an easy cooked breakfast, try grilling some halved tomatoes with a little salt and black pepper. Serve on wholemeal toast with a scrape of butter or margarine.
- Toast and marmite. Try it with boiled or poached egg.
- Crumpets and honey with Quark - also good for dessert.
- A banana sandwich. Great made with mashed banana on wholemeal/granary toast for texture.
- Fruit salad. Make it on a Sunday evening, and if you don't use pineapple or banana it'll keep in the fridge until Tuesday. Add non-fat yoghurt or fromage frais when you serve it.
Hope these help, best of luck.

Unsweetened oatmeal is one of the best. It takes some time to get used to. Start slow and mix it with fruit or honey. But, only 1 teaspoon or less of honey. My choice of fruit is a banana. It makes the oatmeal sweet like sugar. Another choice would be a high-fiber cereal like Uncle Sam's. It comes with or withour berries. It has flax seed in it and tastes good. Eggs are good also, but not too often. Don't use butter, maybe a bit of margarine. You can even put them on on two pieces of whole wheat toast.

Lowfat or fat-free yogurt with fruit and cereal mixed in (I like Kashi Cinna-raisin crunch - nice and sweet, high-fiber, low-fat)
Toasted whole wheat English muffin with Allfruit spread
I like to put peanut butter on a tortilla and then put a banana on and roll it up.... the pb does add some fat, but not a ton, and it's a good protein boost for early in the morning, keeps you fuller for longer

Fruit, i will not be able to stress it sufficient, that's user-friendly to dispose, environmentally friendly, and it supplies me greater potential throughout the time of the day. You get fiber, antioxidants and foodstuff. yet once you prefer cereal (etc.), bypass finished grain and little or no sugar. Low fats yogurt is nice too! in case you have Wawas the place you reside, they have fruit and yogurts to bypass. :)
