I'm sorry for your loss. I wish you well.
The most common cause of accidents is distractions. Cell phone, passengers, radios, anything that takes the drivers attention from driving. I recently got hit by a driver who was on his cell phone. Fortunately, the girl who was driving (it was a driver education car) was fine, and I just got a few bruises. The guy who hit us was just distracted.

Things happen for a reason. Im sorry about your loss, there is a thought that we are here to do a certain thing or things in this life, and when we have done them it could be time to move on to the next life, next challenge.
It could be your brother has done in this life what he needed to and had to go to another life to do something else he couldnt do now.
Accidents are there to start big changes, that event will shape your life. Try to make whatever positivity you can out of it.

Sorry to hear. It really does just take a split second for an accident to occur. Nobody plans these things and no one wants them to happen. A blown tire, a neglecting driver, a squirell, or even just changing a CD can distract a driver, causing accidents. Drive safely everyone!

The majority of accidents happen because of driver inattention. Inattention to the little details that they learned when they were learning how to drive.
Things like:
1. how much space to leave in between their car and the 1 in front of them.
2. how a tractor trailer has blind spots
3. how it's a lot harder to stop quickly on a wet roadway as opposed to a dry one.
4. how alcohol and drugs (even prescribed ones affect your driving ability)

i'm so sorry you lost your brother. as to why it happened well they say most accidents are preventable. people not paying attention and being distracked by different things doesn't help and losing someone in this way doesn't make sense to you or anyone else. i'm truly sorry for your loss.

Driver inattention, intoxication, and failure to fully understand how to control the vehicle in all circumstances are the big three in my opinion.

My condolences on your loss.
The primary cause of all accidents is driver inattention. The next most common cause is drunk driving.
