This question is not meant to be despiteful and simply seeks opinions of non-Christian people about Christianity.
As a "non-Christian", what is your opnion of this faith? Do you think they are misguided (because your particular faith is the true one)?
Please note that this question is not meant to injure or advocate any particular doctrine; I have asked the same question about two different faiths already and this was the last one.
Intelligent answers will be welcome. Thank you

I am a Christian but I just wanted to check in here to say that Christianity has not life or power without a true knowledge of its Savior, Jesus Christ.

Every person that claims to represent Christianity but does not really know Him personally cannot possibly represent Christianity because without Jesus the heart and soul is gone.

Only two contradictions of the New Testament have been mentioned, but others will be referenced when the Trinity, Divinity of Jesus Christ, Divine Sonship of Jesus, Original Sin and Atonement are reviewed.
How could the "inspired words" of God get the genealogy of Jesus incorrect (See Matthew 1:6-16 where it states 26 forefathers up to Prophet David, and Luke 3:23-31 says 41 in number). Or for that matter, give a genealogy to Jesus who had NO father? See II Kings 19:1-37, now read Isaiah 37:1-38. Why is it that the words of these verse are identical? Yet they have been attributed to two different authors, one unknown and the other is Isaiah, who are centuries apart; and yet, the Christians have claimed these books to be inspired by God.
I looked up the word Easter in the Nelson Bible dictionary and learned that the word "Easter" (as mentioned in Acts 12:4) is a mistranslation of "pascha," the ordinary Greek word for "Passover." As, you know Passover is a Jewish celebration not a Christian holiday. I think human hands, all to human, had played havoc with the Bible.
From the brief points mentioned above, and the fact that Biblical scholars themselves have recognized the human nature and human composition of the Bible (Curt Kuhl, The Old Testament: Its Origin and Composition, PP 47, 51, 52), there should exist in the Christian’s mind some acceptance to the fact that maybe every word of the Bible is not God’s word.
As a side note to this subject, let me mention that some Christians believe that the Bible was dictated to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by a Christian monk, and that is why some of the biblical accounts are in the Quran. After some research, I found that this could not have happened because there were no Arabic Bible in existence in the 6th century of the Christian era when Muhammad (SAW) lived and preached. Therefore, no Arab, not even Prophet Muhammad (SAW) who was absolutely unlettered and unlearned, would have had the opportunity to examine the written text of the Bible in his own language.

It can be the truth, but you have to be careful of those that say they are Christian but who are not, especially when you are just starting out. We even got a guy now who says he is " Jesus Christ man" the second coming. That would be a nut.

But if the true Christian teacher is found, and it's not really that difficult, then Christianity is the only 'religion' that teaches the right way to God. If it's taught right, it will be the defining factor for the person learning it as to whether they will be a believer and blessed by God, or rejected by God. how they handle their trust in God under it's teaching, will show what that person is, saved or condemned.

i don't think they're misguided at all, not do i think my path is the only "true" way. i think christians generally mean well but they do think their was is the only "true" way and this is where the problems come in.

they often try to convince/convert others into their own beliefs, out of concern for their soul, but people don't want that. christians need to realize that freedom of religion means ALL religions.

they are often closed minded when it comes to other people's beliefs, and won't even try to open their eyes to other possibilities. it's ok to really believe in something, but that doesn't mean you can't learn about other ways.

they do good work in the community, but so do atheists, muslims, pagans, jews, etc.

christianity doesn't seem to allow knowledge, probably for fear of losing control, because we all know knowledge is power. i say this because adam and eve weren't allowed to eat from the tree of knowledge. also, when christians have questions about their faith, they are told to just have faith, or led in circles about free will, god's will, and the work of satan.

i think all religions should be a choice one makes as an adult, after researching many different religions, and not shoved down someone's throat since childhood, especially when that child is told they must believe or they burn in hell and never see their loved ones again

A Religion which defies Logic. If you want to be Logical and Rational, Christianity is Miles away.
Choose Christianity,
1. If you feel liable for the sins committed by your forefathers.
2. If you think that as long as you believe and accept Jesus, you are going to heaven. For your info, people like Gandhi, Mandela etc are not going to heaven according to Christians cos they never accept Jesus as their saviour.
3. If you think that the Bible is God's word despite the fact that it was written more than 70 years after Jesus' disappearance and with a lot of inconsistencies.

Faith can be Blind but one cant have Blind Faith !

I am a Christian, but please allow me to say that everyone who claims to be a Christian, by God;s standards, may not be one. Just as in any other religion, there are differences of opinions, and beliefs. I can't tell you what the view of Christianity is, from an outsider..but I think that being a true Christian would carry a lot of responsibility for living a life showing a good example of walking the path that Christ took. We are, as many other religions , observed by others, and we should, as true Christians, show love, tolerance for others, a giving spirit, the fruits of the spirit, and not judge others.
Many groups make up Christianity, with many differences among them.
So in reality, true Christianity is not a religion, it is a way of life that Christ showed us. Following this, and not arguing about the differences among the groups, would go a long way toward promoting peace in the world.
There are many so called "Christians" here on Q&A's and in the world that seem to be very eager to tell others that IF they don't believe a specific way, according to their religion or their beliefs , that they will burn in HELL! Not only is that false, but I can't see many people wanting to become a Christian, based on what they see or hear, with all that judging going on! In some cases, that harshness or false picture of our loving God, just turns people away, or can make them a non-believer! Christians have a responsibility to bring people to Christ, thru love and understanding!
Not judging others, but leaving that up to God, would also allow true Christianity to be as it was intended to be..

As Muslims, we believe that Christianity is the second of three religions that were brought down to earth by God. First was Judism, and the prophet was Moses. Second was Christianity and the prophet was Jesus & finally Islam with Mohammed (PBUH) being the prophet.

When Judism was brought down to earth, people did not believe it and started to disobey, so God brought down the second religion which is Christianity. People started playing with the bible and changing the beliefs into whatever they desire, that's why there are more than one type of christians and many versions of the bible. Then it was when Islam was delivered where it was announced to be the last religion and Mohammed (PBUH) being the last prophet of God.

That's why all these three religions are very similar, the only differences are what were made by the people themselves.

They are Believers. Every belier is highly respected in my relegion Islam whatever his relegion is. And since Christianity is one of the scriptures then we have to give them a special kind of respect.
But what makes me frustrated that many Christian over here are full of hate towrads Islams and Muslims as well as they are trying to spread many hatred rumers about the prophet Muhammed, PBUH. And in no way we can as muslims to say same bad things about their relegion because respecting it is a duty and if someone calls themselves as muslims say something bad about Jesus Christ, PBUH, then they would be considered as a big sinners and it would make them lose their faith.
Quran [2:62 & 5:69] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

At faith level, we are different and I don't believe in some of their belief but I still respect it the way it is.

PEACE

a great religion with some good Morales but is filled with alot of airhead that don't think before they open their mouths. its not the religion i chose but i have respect for those that did but only the ones that follow Christianity to the letter. because the bible clearly states in revaluations that only those that are on fire and pretty much follow the bible to the letter (we are not perfect i understand that I'm talking about those that just half a$$ there way through) will get into heaven. all those that are lukewarm will go to hell. so yeah its a great religion but I'm gana go to hell apparently so i might well have fun while I'm here right lol

My view of Christianity is that it is false. It contradicts itself, it contradicts science, it contradicts common sense.

As to christians, there are two sides to them.

On one hand, you have christians who try and force christianity to others. They repeatedly say "Christianity is the only truth" while ignoring the fact that others say the same with equal conviction. A worryingly large number tell outright lies to further the message. They argue from christian websites, and continue with arguments that the same christian websites give rebuttals for and say don't stand up to scrutiny. They spread urban legends as truth, they spread lies about people who don't agree with them, saying they are unhappy, unsatisfied, or hate god. In short, they are very zealous in a very unchristian way.

On the other hand there are the few that will accept other people have different beliefs, even if they don't agree with them, will listen to opposing views in a debate, and with acknowledge an atheist will know more about what atheists think than a christian preacher!

Misguided doesn't even scrape the surface.

Regardless of what is 'true' or not, the Abrahamic faiths are all based on lies and manipulation. All of them were established by military force and 'Big Brother' tactics.

Without force, murder and coercion, beginning with the story of Moses and his killing spree, none of the Monotheistic faiths would have become dominant.
