As in my original posting, I STAND BY my recommendation of the Miller 250 amp MIG welder. (Model, Millermatic 251 MIG) Here is a link for you to look at it's specs:

It is a larger version of my Miller 175, and has some very nice features. Don't pay the list price shown, as it is available for less.

And, as the next answerer said, it is a good idea to go to some welding suppliers, and look, and ask their opinions. I did just that and decided to buy the Miller, and am glad I did.

As the other answerer stated, what is your application? You will want a welder capable of welding DC, reverse and straight. And AC if working tig, in aluminum. Miller is an excellent brand.
I recommend going to a place that sells them and try one out.
Also, the shop that sells them can make a recommendation as to a good unit, for your application.
