I think it has. I didn't notice it myself, but after reading about the effect too little sleep has on people's weight, I reflected on how my on-call job reduced the amount of sleep that was possible and my slow weight gain coincided, and decided that it did apply to me. The greatest effect of reduced sleep over the 18 year period I worked that job was on my health.

Yes....also when you sleep after meals will affect your weight too. Don't go to bed for about 2 hours after you eat. Getting the right amount of sleep is very important for your health.

Well, I've heard that. I think that when you sleep, your body goes into repare mode, also, alot of what you have eaten gets stored as fat, which is why you aren't supposed to eat late. But at the same time, I think sleep burns calories in general...so..

It can. If you ae sleeping TOO MUCH, then your body is inactive for too much of the day. Thus you are not burning enough calories and you are detaining the fat!
