I am thinking of renting an apartment (The Madrid apartments to be specific). How is living in Westchester like? Is it clean and safe? The pictures at The Madrid apartments look good; but how is it in reality? Please share your experience.
Thanks a lot.

Everything in Westchester (suburb of L.A.) is based around LAX and Loyola/Marymount Univ. Other spots are Westchester Golf Course, Bowling Alley and Westchester Playground at Manchester Av.and Sepulveda Bl. Hotel and transportation-related jobs are numerous. Sepulveda north and Manchester east are not lacking for retail, social and service-type establishments., Joggers from the Univ. dorms like Loyola Blvd and the surrounding streets. Depending on from where you are moving/traveling, you will be delighted that you wlll be freeway and beach close. Marina Del Rey,Venice and Santa Monica are minutes away. Check with the local LAPD division for the neighborhood report on your new address and call the chamber of commmerce for an over view of the apts in whole. I couldn't locate your apts in L.A. or the surrounding cities but I suspect you are in that bank of apts eastward on Arbor Vitae.

Yes Westchester is just north of LAX, but unless you are directly under the flightpath (and Westchester isn't) the noise should'nt be a problem. What street are the Madrid apts on? Then we can help you more. Just add this info in your question.
Oops I forgot. Westchester is a very nice area. Cant think of any crummy spots in this town. And not too far from the Ocean.

Westchester is directly north of LAX. You will be hearing planes take off all night long, but after a short time you'll get used to it, and it will just become back ground noise.
