wut i do is only eat highly prossesed milk and egg, just thr byproducts like sodium styeral lactate and lactic acid and only when there at the bottom of the ingrediant list.(ingrediance are listed the most used in food to least used) but if there is milk or eggs accually in the ingrediants in the beggining of the list i dont eat it. and i NEVER eat just plain eggs or dairy; or bake with them unless its only like one egg white for a party or somethin.i figure its a lot easier when you dont have to memorize all the ingrediance derived for milk or eggs, i already do that for ingrediance derived from animals. PETA's website says that eating small amounts of animal byproducts is ok, as long as you dont overdue it (for instance i eat animal crakers like crazy, but the last ingrediant is skim milk, but since the crakers are most likely only brushed with skim milk before baking ) is it ok to call myself a vegan?

i would say no, but you are really really close. you could consider yourself a loose vegan, and that would be fine. good job anyways

sorry but NO! A vegan is somebody who does not take anything from animals and even if you just have a little milk or one egg you are still taking it from the animal. So no sorry you aren't a vegan but you are a vegetarian which is a good start either way. If you want to be able to call yourself a vegan stop with the milk and eggs totally!!

You can call yourself whatever you want but true vegans don't eat anything with animal products at all. They don't even eat honey or wear leather. If you are going to eat some animal products, skip the processed crap because it is bad for you regardless and seek out a local source for eggs and milk. Even if just 1 millionth of a percent of some food has an animal product in it, you can almost guarantee that if it is made by a large corporation, the animals were treated inhumanely and fed chemicals and growth hormones.

No,even if something has alittle bit of animal ingredient,it is not vegan, and you should avoid it if you can, which in your situation you can avoid it.I wouldn't refer to you as a poser, what you are doing is still really great. For some people being strict can lead to short spurts of avoiding supporting animal suffering and exploitation, rather than not supporting it in the long run.

"Vegetarianism isn't about fanatical personal purity, it's about having some perspective. Move at your own pace; no one's keeping score. Vegetarianism isn't about scarcity, it's about abundance. It's not about restriction, it's about liberation. Not about what we're against but what we're for; not for some far-off time but for right now. For me going vegetarian is less about becoming something and more about being true to ourselves."

i'd say no. i'd say you are a very strict vegetarian. not that there is anything wrong with that. but vegan means absolutely NO animal byproducts or animal product derivitives (sp?). then again.. i know people who are "vegan" but eat stuff like that and don't have any idea that they are eating animal products.. so your call

I would say no only because you make a lot of exceptions-but there is nothing wrong with being a vegetarian vs. a vegan. People get too hung up on labels.

NO!!! that is just so stupid! if there's milk in it no matter the amount it is STILL milk. PETA also run around naked thinking its gonna make people go vegan. They make other vegans look bad.OH and so do you by the way.
