Some are. It depends on which one and what area you are in. From the Silk company website:

Is Silk product packaging recyclable?
Every area has different recycling rules so please check with your local recycling center for details. Here is some general information:

* Silk Live!® Soy Yogurt cups and caps are made from Polypropylene (PP), which is classified as a #5 plastic.
* Silk Soymilk cartons can be recycled after removing the plastic screw cap.
* Silk Shelf Stable quart cartons and 8.25 oz. prisma packs can be recycled in certain areas of the U.S.
* Silk Single Serves (11 oz. bottles) are in #1 containers and are recyclable after removing the plastic label.
* Silk Live!® Soy Yogurt containers are #5 and can be recycled in certain areas of the U.S. The lids can also be recycled.

At this point we feel that we are using the most environmentally friendly and cost-effective packaging available for our products, but we’re always looking to decrease the overall waste factor of our containers.

Just about everything is recycleable at some level.

Soymilk comes in plastic or "waxed" cardboard containers. Depending on the exact composition of the container, some are more practical to recycle than others.

So... there is no definitive answer, since there is no standard soymilk container.

no they cant be recycled because first they are paper but they are waxed with some plastic plus the carton is soiled with soymilk and any paper thats food soiled cant be recycled. It cant even be composted. I think your best bet is to find some way of reusing it as something else. sorry just wanted to let u know

If they are coated cardboard, no, they are not. If plastic cartons, yes, they are recyclable.
