because they taste good! it doesn't matter what type of food it is as long as it's tasty! have you ever eaten mexican food or chinese food or pasta or fried chicken or curry or fondue? why?? because it's from your ethnicity, or because you like it? i would not be able to eat very much if i stuck with only what was from my nationality's cuisine! and think about it, jews eating bagels and mexicans eating tacos is still pretty ethnically aligned. ;)

There's not a lot of Mexican Jews, but the few that there is only eat tacos with beef or chicken meat and the blood all drained out before cooked. No cheese with the meat either.

I didn't know we were limited to eating only food from our own backgrounds. we eat what we like regardless of how it was made. obviously, they eat the foods they like. I've always thought it was a kick that so many Hispanics eat Chinese food.
