How would you feel if aliens decided to factory farm humans for food? I am real curious to see how meat eaters reply to this question.

Well, I once ate a census taker's liver and fava beans with a "nice Chianti", so yes I would.

Isn't there some bizzare religion that believes that mankind was created by aliens to be used one day as slaves etc.... Still I get your point, thats one of the reasons why I have gone Veggie, and planning on going Vegan soon (Once I actually move to a place where I can actually get vegan food, middle England isn't the best place at the moment) . I just want animals to cuddle and admire, not to eat. Although technically our bodies white blood cells are constantly killing bacteria which are living (and viruses but its debaitable if they are really alive) , every-time you drive your car you are squishing bus, every-time I go flying I run the risk of flying into a bird (Even though Bird strikes are rare) . Another slightly darker thought on this, we are assuming the aliens have emotions equivalent to us, there is no reason for it to work that way, they may just not understand our begs and pleas , or they could be sentient on a completely different way from us and not see us as anything more than an animal to eat.

As a meat eater, and already condemned by the veggies for slaughtering innocent animals, I would have no problem with standing up and defending myself against the offending hoards.

You see, having been trained in the art of humane ( and in some cases no so humane) slaughter, I would be able to ascertain the weak points of these invaders and use that knowledge to ensure survival.

That or run away!!

Veggies on the other hand would consider the invader to be an intelligent lifeform ( like plants) and refuse to use any form of force other than to try to pick them from the rich fertile loam in which they stand.

I bet I would be able to guess which dietary prone human would have the best chances of survival.

i eat meat, but i do not agree with treating animals cruely. i think what you are asking is more a philosophical question. personally i do not think that humans and animals are equal. while i feel that all life should be treated respectfully, i also feel that killing a human and killing an animal are totally differant things. humans could never be farmed as we would speak out and demand to excersise our rights, animals cant, and they never will because they do not have the same intellectual capacity as we do. animals do not have a government, they can't write poetry to express how they feel, they cannot think about what might happen in the future because they cannot comprehend what it is. if you reduce humans to the same intellecutal level as animals, we might as well start pooping wherever we want and washing each other with our tongues. would you really be willing to do that?

Good question.
For me it would depend on the condition they kept us in, if they kept us in the conditions like humans keep broiler chickens, battery farm hens, intensive farmed ducks, ostriches, and pigs, it would be horrible.
If I couldn't escape, I would try to make my body as poisonous to them as I could, eating filth if I thouight it would harm them.
Much like intensive farms poultry become diseased where free ranged do not.
It would be as bad for us vegetarians as it would for meat-eaters, but if we were farmed we would probably all be fed a vegetarian diet, most meat eaters eat vegetarian animals, including most large animals.
Not all meat-eaters eat meat from intensively farmed animals, if we were farmed like organic farms, and there was no where to escape to, I would just try to enjoy my life as long as I lived, with the knowledge that I wouldn't suffer the diseases of old age.

Hi I am a meat eater.

Lets face it, If Aliens took over the earth and decided to factory farm us, then they would have a jolly good fight on their hands. They would have no choice but to produce and kill us in secrecy. Otherwise they would probably have to kill us all or at least reduce our numbers, so that they could claim the Earth, and become the animal at the top of our food chain.

If chickens were able to run around with guns and bombs with the ability to plan how to kill us, then yes we probably wouldn't choose to mass produce them, as it would be too much hassle and the risk of human death would be too high. Our only choice would be to try to reduce their numbers to an extent that they were no longer a threat to humans or come to a mutual understanding. If humans and chickens had to neogotiate, it would denote that they were at the same level of the food chain as us.... but they can't neogotiate and are not at the same level as us.

We don't mass produce birds of prey or other such animals but as well thinking humans we have banned the killing of this type of bird as we realised that they are essential to the whole wild eco system as a whole. This ability to control and develop the food chain gives us our status at the top.

So back to your question of aliens mass producing us...... If they managed to get to our world then they obviously have technology that would be far, far, far, far in advance of us. They would be far superior to humans, to the point that if they did want to eat us we wouldn't know about it, so don't worry about it.... I mean how do you know that we aren't being mass produced anyway....

Think about it... with reference to what i said earlier, logically if they can get hear and back to their own planet safely then why would they live here. We don't live in our supermarkets do we... They can fly down, choose a human of choice, stun us, and take us home for tea, no fighting, no threats and we would be non the wiser. Just like the cows, sheep and chickens are non the wiser.

Where do you think all these missing people go to? Lets just hope that they keep thinking that we are an essential part of their eco system, yes?

They are here already. Haven't you heard of the flesh eaters?
They could be small aliens. So small, we call them a "disease".

We all(including vegetarian) are factory fed and fattened anyways by the food corporations.
So in the "eyes"(if they have any) of an alien, they wouldn't want the vegans, or the athletic type either(too stringy)...or the drugged out type(on perscript meds., or alcohol or steroids-which is in meat,or DDT in vege foods) if they were purists

Sorry but assumed you knew that the Human Race is a brand name owned by the Cygnus Space Chow Corporation, specifically the division which deals with low quality, low price, nutritionally ambiguous, fat and salt enriched food replacements.
Also available is Human Lite (low salt), Human Lean (low fat) and the recently marketed Human Zero (100% Human Free!)

And yes, I am a meat eater... mainly because the Cygnus Corporation Genetic Manipulation Department streamed my ancestors that way... the advantage being that I can cannabalise other Corporate products when the veggies run out...
(Apologies to the vegan community, that was carnivore humour)

Good question. As a matter of fact for some time now as science has progressed and we are seeing more parts of animals used for human valve replacement etc. I find myself musing whether the day will come when the wife can just pop the husband in the oven.?

I'm a vegetarian and if aliens did this then I would use weapons to fight them. If I suceeded I would free the humans, if I failed I would have been killed in the fighting.
Anyway that is what I would do.

I guess you haven't heard of AETH?

Aliens for the Ethical Treatment of Humans?

Being a far advanced race, able to traverse the universe, they would obviously have a radical organization called AETH.

AETH has long lobbied the humane slaughter of humans, even though they themselves have killed tens of thousands of humans.

It is something to consider being on the top of the food chain, we are food and we can be eaten, so if Aliens come knocking on the door, not much we would be able to do, for then they would be on top of the food chain, not worried though, I am sure some of them are veggie Aliens and don't like the treatment of humans, and wont eat it, but it would be obvious that this would all be in vain...

Amazing the similarities...
