Sounds like a yeast infection, not genital herpes. Genital herpes doesn't have a smell or thick white discharge. The most obvious sign of genital herpes are large blister like sores that can break open and puss.
Antibiotics are often the cause of yeast infections. Have you taken any antibiotics recently? A few years ago I got a horrible yeast infection because I was receiving antibiotics through an IV when I was hospitalized.
Symptoms of a primary (first) outbreak of genital herpes can include:
+ Flulike symptoms, such as fever, headache, and muscle aches. These symptoms usually get better within a week.
Tingling, burning, itching, and redness at the site where an outbreak is about to occur (prodrome).
+ Painful, itchy blisters on the penis, on the vulva, or inside the vagina. Blisters may also appear on the anus, buttocks, thighs, or scrotum, either alone or in clusters. They may be barely noticeable or as large as a coin.
+ Blisters that break and become shallow, painful, oozing sores.
+ Swollen and tender lymph nodes in the groin.
+ Painful urination.
I'd highly suggest you see a doctor. If it is a yeast infection they can give you a prescription for some anti fungal medication like fluconazole (brand name: Diflucan). Good luck!

Some symptoms and signs of genital herpes:[1,5]
Sores, which can be different sizes: from 1 mm to greater than 2 cm in diameter
Raw, painful or itchy area, similar to “chafing”, on a specific location on the genitals
Redness and/or swelling in a specific location on the genitals
Tiny blisters filled with a clear or whitish fluid that eventually burst, scab and heal. The sores are not very deep; they are on the skin’s surface. Blisters are mostly seen in men or on thicker skin in either men or women. They are not seen under the foreskin, on the two inner folds of tissue (also called lips) around the female vaginal opening, in the perineal area (between the vagina or penis and the anus) or area around the anus. In these thinner-skinned areas, sores generally begin with chafing or rawness and skip the blister stage
Before an outbreak, many people experience tingling, itchiness or burning in the genital area – the prodrome
Sometimes nerve pain in the buttocks or down the leg is the only noticeable symptom of genital herpes
Symptoms that most often occur during a primary outbreak:
Discharge from the vagina
Pain while urinating or difficulty passing urine or emptying the bladder
Swollen glands, especially the groin lymph nodes located in the front of the body where the legs meet the pelvis
Fever, headache with eye pain or discomfort when in the light, and flu-like symptoms, like tiredness and muscle aches
go to the doc right away they see it everyday they can help ,

I had herpes about 5 years back, when I was still in college and had a stupid one night stand. I know many of girls will say this but I swear I never did that sort of thing. I just made a mistake that one time and, suddenly, it seemed like I was going to have to live with the burden for the rest of my life. The awful part was feeling I would never date men again. After all, who wants to date a person who has blisters around her you-know-what? But after a friend shared this video https://tr.im/qQvS2 everything has changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than 20 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program offered me the chance to be happy again, and to experience true love.

It sounds like a yeast infection. Genital herpes is characterized by painful lesions around the vagina and no real discharge. The thick, white discharge and smell is classic yeast infection. Eat plenty of yogurt. Call your doctor for a prescription of Diflucan. You can take AZO pills over the counter if you don't like yogurt. Monistat over the counter also helps.
