No. Warts are not inherited like green eyes or curly hair.

Warts are caused by HPV. There are sexually transmitted kinds of HPV which are responsible for genital warts, cervical cancer, and rarely penile and anal cancer. There are also non sexually transmitted kinds of HPV which cause warts on the feet, hands, knees, elbows, etc.

HPV can be passed from a mother to a child during birth though if the mother has HPV. This only happens when the mother is having an outbreak of genital warts. When the baby is coming through the birth canal it can rub up against the warts which can cause the baby to contract HPV. This is REALLY rare.

No, they're not genetic, although some people are more resistant to them. Warts are a type of infection caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus (HPV) family. There are more than 100 types of HPV viruses. Warts can grow on all parts of your body. They can grow on your skin, on the inside of your mouth, on your genitals and on your rectal area. Some types of HPV tend to cause warts on the skin, while other HPV types tend to cause warts on the genitals and rectal area. Some people are more naturally resistant to the HPV viruses and don't seem to get warts as easily as other people.

Wart should be treated as they can bleed, cause pain, and can be passed on to other people, even via towels and other such contact.

My doctor treated one on my had with liquid nitrogen a couple of weeks ago. The rough skin of the wart puffed up into a blister, When the blister broke, there was nice, new skin under it. That kind of treatment really isn't bad.

No; warts are caused by a virus. I'm sure that there are people who are more susceptible than others to the virus, but unless they are exposed to the virus in some fashion, they won't get warts.
