I am not a vegetarian and I do not eat meat a whole lot. (I know being a vegetarian goes beyond just meat.)But i have never felt this way. I think alot of people who likes something no matter what it is thinks everyone else should too. Then they think other people are weird if they don't like it. I think you are probably really healthy and lead a good life so I wouldn't worry about those people who are going to hurt their bodys eating junk food but then discriminate what you do. Good for you! You are doing a good thing, not only for yourself but for the environment too!

I guess I never realized that anyone ever got any problems for being a vegetarian. I've heard people question them and ask things like why but that's about it. I'm not saying at all you're making more drama then there is, because I'm sure that there are rude people out there who question you and act like that to you but I guess if I heard someone being like that to you I'd ask not what was wrong with you, but what was wrong with them for acting different just because you don't eat meat.

That's really silly if someone treats you like that.

I try hard not to make instantaneous judgment calls about people, but I have been put off by some, vegetarians included, b/c they've tried to push their beliefs onto me. I have no problem if others want to follow whatever lifestyle they are in, but the moment someone starts talking trash, I do everything I can to steer clear of such people.

beep. beep.

Just kidding. Maybe you only feel focused on that lifestyle choice because you make it a point to share it with people, and you slightly get a kick out of their responses.

Plus, meat is something so many eat as a huge portion of daily food. Even I say, I cannot resist.

But if you are happy doing it, I say continue! Don't let other people stop you from something you practice stronglly

a lot of times people get judgmental because they don't understand why you've made the choice. most people aren't very educated in vegetarianism. but any intelligent person would recognize that the benefits of such are great for your health, the environment, and of course animals. i actually read a study today that said that the majority of 10 year olds with high IQ's were vegetarians/vegans by the time they were 30. and i can vouch for that, i qualified for MENSA and I'm a vegetarian. so eat that those of you that are judging this smart healthy girl!

I don't think vegetarians are freaks, I actually had thought of trying to become one, but I'm sorry, I just couldnt give up bacon. Some people think vegetarians are freaks, because they are shocked by the will power they have to sit at a dinner table and not eat that giant piece of steak thats staring back at them. Secretly, I think that they are envious of you. :)

I guess they can't comprehend living without meat as they've been conditioned to it all their lives. Alot of ppl don't truely understand vegetarians..that's all it is. If they've never tried it, how can they judge. But to each and their own. It's like anything in this world, some ppl like certain music , others can't stand it, or styles of hair cuts...or clothes..etc. To each and their own* Just keep on doing what you feel is right for you, and don't let it get to you (although it can be quite upsetting) and just keep on smilin*

Being vegetarian is just like being part of a minority, and then you become judged, that's all. Someone said "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger".

People judge, because they are ignorant. And there is nothing wrong with being ignorant, the problem comes when one is ignorant and doesn't want to learn and overcome ignorance.

I'm a vegetarian and I find it ammusing that you make it sound like we are victimized every five minutes or something. I have come accross minimal problems being a vegetarian, every great once in a while somebody will give me sh*t for it, but it's not hard to counter.
