The Bible says: "God hath not appointed us unto wrath"(law).
So perhaps real name of Hurricane Katrina's Wrath is "Law".
God(Grace) isn't Law: "both good and evil". God is good only.
God is only "merciful"; Not merciless. The "Law" is merciless.
So, perhaps we sabatoge ourselves with our own Law Law.

1 Thessalonians 5:9?

"For God hath not APPOINTED us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,"

I once heard this verse used as evidence that Christians would not be subjected to the Great Tribulation of Revelation.

It would be nice if God would come down and tell us precisely what it and all other passages mean, but it's beginning to seem likely that no one's up there.

God's will upon the Earth has been loosed so that even Satan can be in charge of its forces to test the resolve of man.
I would not call the "wrath" of a hurricane the same as God's law or wrath.
God is merciful, but now only upon judgement day. Each of us living now will be given the test of Job where evil can do what it wants without interference from our Lord to test our faith.
Terrible days ahead ya'll, hang tight.
Peace.

Are these verses of the NEW TESTAMENT outdated like the rest of the Gospels ?

If Christians can find an excuse not to follow these verses because they are “Pauls opinion” but the rest of the Bible is the “absolute word of God” then aren’t Christians just picking and choosing what their desires agree with ??

I say Trinity and other concepts are “Pauls Opinion” but nobody is ready to agree with that because it goes against the desires of most Christians.

That means the Bible is not the “WORD OF GOD”, it is just a book written by men and Christians follow it because its all they have….and since Paul said Christians no longer need to follow the cursed Mosaic Law…….Christians can Just live according to their desires.

If somebody says they only follow the rules of the NT and Jesus saved them from the Law in the OT, then why don’t they follow these FEW rules as written below ????

Why should the “change of Times” affect the obedience to GODs Laws ?

"Any woman who prays with her head unveiled dishonors her head. It is the same as if her head were shaven, for if a woman will not veil herself then she should cut off her hair. But if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven , let her wear a veil. (1 Corenthians 11 :5).

Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her hath committed ADULTRY with HER already...-----(MATT 5:028)

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at HOME, good, OBEDIENT to their HUSBANDS... ------ (Timothy 2:005)

Likewise, ye wives, be in SUBJECTION to your own HUSBANDS. ----- (1PE 3:001)

Women should remain SILENT in the Church. They are NOT ALLOWED to speak, but must be in SUBMISSION, as the Law says. – (1 Corinthians 14:34)

"I permit NO woman to TEACH or have AUTHORITY over men". –( 1 Timothy 2:11-14)
