It sort of depends on what you mean by "good". Is genoa salami tasty? Hell yeah it is. I'm a big fan of anything Italian, and I have memories of paper-thin sliced genoa salami, along with other stuff, on antipasto platters at my grandma's house. It wasn't the mainstream (Hormel, and other brands) stuff that you can find in every supermarket in the USA; it was the imported stuff, which my grandparents purchased at tiny little Italian delicatessens.
Is genoa salami good FOR you? Probably not. It's cured, so there's quite a bit of salt in it, and it's a type of sausage, so there's some fat in there, too. But I don't think enjoying it a couple of times a month would kill you!

Genoa salami is ridiculously good my friend. I have had I love for this meat for a long time, as a matter of fact, I used to work at an italian deli and any time I went to the kitchen I would snag a stack of genoa salami to munch on. Any type of dry italian sausage is wonderful, soppresata, caccitore. Try them all, go to the deli section of your local grocery and try what they have, I recomend boars head brand. Send a salami to ya boy in the army!

It's incredibly good! I love it! If I don't buy a sandwich with it on it, then I make a simple one with a piece of bread smeared with roasted garlic cream cheese and a ton of salami. Yum!

yes it is good-especially from the deli sliced really thin. i personally like it better due to the fact-atleast the kind i get-doesn't have those annoying peppercorns in it.
