How many of us on here would participate in the World Naked Bike Ride protest that is taking place on June 9th? It has been running for the last 5 years now as a means of promoting sustainable green living, protesting against the burning of fossil fuels and address the societal hangups people have over simple, non-sexual nudity. I would love to! I love being naked, and I love riding a bike! I have just never done them at the same time before. I would be wearing a helmet just to be safe though :)

First, I had a bicycle accident when I was just nine, and have never gotten on a bicycle since.
Second, I have very delicate skin, and could not be outdoors on a bicycle naked--if I ever did ride a bike again.
I know that it's for a good cause, and applaude the people who are willing to participate. Non-sexual nudity is a good thing--as we can see in many famous paintings and sculptures.
Are people never arrested on these naked bike rides???
I will check out the website, and thanks (but no thanks). I will find another way to promote and protest.

Who ever it was is a fool.
The last time I looked the pushbike has rubber tyres.
The manufacture of these tyres is not Eco friendly.
Out on the road for a naked ride these tyres quickly wear away leaving rubber behind.
What happens to the old worn out bike tyres?
On the subject of roads.
What is the road surface made of that these naked riders will be travelling on?
Now how about their footwear. How Eco friendly is its manufacture process
and the waste they shoes leaves behind when worn out.
As for the car driver not respecting push bike riders.
Is the road provided for the car of the pushbike?
Pushbike riders should be fighting for bike ways not for road space.
The only true green way to get around is by walking.
This is just an excuse to bare all in public.

Too risky in Guatemala (intolerance, crazy traffic amongst other things...), a good idea though. It is very positive that it will also happen in Mexico, hopefully the new found open minded attitude of many Mexicans will slowly trickle down to Guatemala :-). I think if I were in the right country I would... hopefully people would not be offended by my nakedness as i am no Atlas or Adonis :-)

I would not participate by actually being naked and riding, but would sponsor someone. Sadly, I would not be a pretty sight naked on a bike. I have no wish to scare people.

Sounds fun and righteous. I love hearing about people being really full of life like this. Although, I ride an old bike every day a couple of miles, as an old lady I would not participate myself in order to spare the crowds the shock of ancient flesh. That, and my anal attorney/politician son would hear about it eventually and he'd commit me.

Nudity has never been a problem in my society ,which is not American .
I am too old to participate or too unfit
if the bikers are beautifull it would be nice too watch

I might participate if there were a LOT of other old, overweight, weird looking ladies were doing it too, but otherwise, count me out.... LOL I think I'll just stand by the wayside with a poster supporting your efforts!!

Wrong part of the world but the t shirts look inviting.
It seems hipocritical though to have a naked race and sell t shirts.
