Well to save money have a pot luck, decide what entrees, side dishes and desserts you want, make a list of them and either ask your friends which one they want to being or tell them what to bring. Have ice chests with ice, one with sodas, water and the other with beer etc. Make sure you have salt and pepper, paper plates, napkins, plastic cups and plastic silverware. Plenty of seating and a really funny thing to do is buy a pinata fill it with what ever and use a bat (plastic), you will laugh your *** off watching your friends try to hit the pinata. Most of all have fun and Happy Birthday!

I was going to give you my ideas, instead I did a quick search on Yahoo..."How to throw the perfect party". There are too many sites that came up to list here. Go through them to find some interesting ideas. I must agree with most people here, if everyone wants to have a party, they should bring a dish. You provide the drinks and the party mood. Look at the sites the web has to offer. It will give you some great ideas, and calm your jitters.

This is so easy - just think - what kind of party do YOU enjoy. Then you will have your answer.

Theme parties are easy, cuz you just have to stick with a theme. Think Mexican, BBQ, luau - or masked party.

Color parties are fun - think black & white, red - blue whatever - just follow through with paper goods in the color, mixed drinks or punch in that color, and food.

Parties with activities are usually pretty successful - bowling, swimming, miniature golfing, dancing, movies, boad games, etc.

Lastly - just think about your guest's comfort and enjoyment. If you have friends that like to just hang around - maybe a more low key party would be successful. If your friends are daredevils - maybe a sporting party would be fun. Hope this all helped.
