Like some sad people do in this section.
Now please understand your Answers are fine to be opinionated but for me NOT the question.
Also I truly respect Veggies and Vegans for your nobel life choices and USED to admire your way of life.

No, its not right.
generally they are not questions, are they ? They are biased and loaded statements phrased as a question but really designed to get a rise and avoid being violation-reported.
But you will notice that its meat-eaters that do this. There are no vegetarians or vegans that go into the general food and drink sections to have a go at meat-eaters.
If meat-eaters choose to come into the V&V section to slag us off, they are due all the insults we choose to throw at them.
Ask a sensible, knowledge seeking question, and they will get sensible knowledge providing answers.

You can't really judge all vegetarians and vegans by the select few that use the word murderer in their answers. If I judge all omnivores by some of the answers I see on here, my opinion of people would change dramatically.
I understand that most of the omnivores that come on here causing trouble and posting questions just to get at people are a minority of the omnivore population.
At least for me I am quiet about my vegetarianism. I discuss it if someone asks. I answers question, and tell people how I see it. I have never just blurted it out and pushed my beliefs on anyone.
When it comes down to it I think vegetarians and omnivores are simply looking for the same thing. Both want to eat they way they see fit and not be criticised or judge because of it.

Spend a few minutes looking at all the questions posted.Go back a few pages and you'll see tons of q's posted by a user named sister margeret, she is just one of the many trolls here.We have far more meat eating trolls than veggie trolls.Ashley has only been her for like a day,I don't even know if she is a vegetarian or if a troll made an account to piss people off.Look at her question history. The regulars in this section are nothing like that.

I was a vegan from birth-age 12 and from age 12-now I am a vegetarian. It is NOT okay to force your beliefs on anybody but at the same time a meat eater should NOT force their beliefs on eating meat on vegetarians.
You won't believe how many meat eating "friends" that I have that will put a piece of their meat on my plate when we are out to eat or say things like "you need to eat meat so you won't be so skinny" or "humans are better than animals thats why we get to eat them" wel sorry last time I checked humans ARE ANIMALS.
As a kid when I had friends over my parents always made sure that we had COW milk, pizza with sheep cheese, non-vegan cookies and so on for my non-vegan friends. Sure some may want to try my rice milk but usually those who did at the age of 7 detetsed it and stuck to cow milk.
You can eat a piece of steak in front of me, it won't bother me and any true vegetarians it shouldn't bother them.
The only way someone can become a vegetarian or a vegan is if they truly want to.The more you tell someone that they should not eat meat the more meat they will eat. Just like you won't tell a smoker to stop smoking. I mean you may tell him/her but they will stop smoking ONLY when they are ready and want to. So educate if they ask, do NOT PREACH. It gives vegans/vegetarians a bad rep.

You must have noticed by now that all sections on yahoo answers have a few resident trolls.
The vegetarian and vegan section trolls are the ones your talking about. Most of us are normal people who choose a different diet than most people.

I answer questions that I am knowledgeable in. If I don't know the answer to a certain question, then I won't answer it, and I will go on until I do find a question that I know something about.
It is not right for a person to ask a fake question, then want to force their beliefs onto other people.

No it is not right to force this kind of opinion on others. I think it is wrong to attempt to force any opinions on others.
Diet should be a personal choice.
I would say that a good one in four vegetarians are very opinionated about their lifestyle and try to force it upon others.
I would also say that around one in ten people I know who eat meat attempt to persuade, cajole and even trick me into eating meat.
Anyway, as I said I do think it is wrong to try to influence others with a question. I don't think showing opinion within a question is necessarily wrong as long as it is not expressed in a way designed to influence or cajole others.

What is wrong about being a fanatic? Aren't vegetarians fanatics? How about carnivores, and omnivores? If you can't present your opinion via a question/answer how do you communicate with people. I would argue against you opinion with all my breath but I would fight to the death for your right to express it.

I have answered lots of questions on here that were racist or sexist. When I answered them with my opinion which is what you are asking for on here, I got violation warnings. People want to ask questions, but they really only want to read what THEY feel, not other people's opinions. I agree with you, that if you are asking a question, you are asking for their opinion. The question asker however, doesn't seem to care that they have offended someone simply by asking it. Its as if they can be as ignorant as they want, but don't you dare answer it and offend them. Thats whats wrong with this country. Don't hurt anyone's feelings, because its not nice. Bulls**it. Its like we are being rude for answering honestly. But they don't understand that what was rude was them asking that question. If you are going to ask a question be ready for any answer. and if you can't take it, don't ask anymore questions.

Is it wrong for vegans and vegetarians to discuss their veg*n beliefs and lifestyle in VEGETARIAN & VEGAN SECTION? Isnt it sad that you are here for no apparent reason other than to make fun of what you cant understand? Why are you here?
