Hell yeah I have. I have had it for 8 yers now (since I was 16) it's not a big deal. It affected my dating life in the beginning cause I didn'tknow enough about herpes to make my partners feel comfortable about it, I wasn't even comfortable with myself. Once I did my homework I was able to spit some serious game and still keep my partners properly informed. People are alot more open minded about it then you'd imagine. Try valtrex, it really works well. It also reduces your partners risk of getting it. Also I joined all the herpes dating sites there were (shotgun effect). I suggest you do the same, even if you don't feel like hooking up you can atleast talk to people in the same boat and learn from them. http://www.mpwh.com/ http://www.herpes-date.com/ http://www.afterh.com/ http://www.datingwithh.com/?i=2004047348&OVRAW=herpes%20dating&OVKEY=herpes%20dating&OVMTC=standard&OVADID=2378411022&OVKWID=22813573522 http://www.positivesingles.com/ and many more. Good luck, your love life isn't over.

I too have herpes and don't know how to cope. When my baby was about 5 or 6 months old the father told me I gave it to him. He was the last person I was with and that was more than 2 years ago; 3 years this come Thanksgiving. I take sexual intercourse more seriously now. When ever I meet someone I think he only wants to get into my panties but only if he really knew. Lately I guess because I am afraid of getting close with someone I would tell them I have herpes before we even meet. The results from this is better than actually deceiving him and then passing it on to him. I wish I had the choice like I give others, but there is nothing I can do about it now. I thank God I do not have HIV and AIDS. My baby's father is now married to someone else I can only imagine how he got her to accept him with herpes.

I found out I had herpes when I was 17. I'm 30 now. Dating at first was difficult. I tried waiting for the right moment to tell someone and when I did I always got my feelings hurt and sometimes hurt bad. Then I started being upfront about it, and felt like I had hit a dead end road. I had tons of thanks but no thanks. The men I had dated that actually lasted more than 2 weeks were men who asked questions about it. I was always honest about it. I met my husband 8 yrs ago and I was honest and upfront once again. He actually stuck around. He asked a lot of questions. He even researched things online trying to see how safe he would be. We've been married now June 24 will be 7 years. We no longer use protection, and hadn't since we have been married. He doesn't have herpes, yet. The reason I say yet is it is bound to happen at sometime. I hope much later than sooner. Love happens! I hope this helps.

Yes! Just because you have Herpes doesn't mean you can't have a happily ever after! I have had it for 4 years. Although it is hard to tell someone new, I have found that other factors, not Herpes, cause more relationship challenges. Don't lose hope. Try reading some of the success stories on MPwH or join a support group.

I know the emotions of vulnerability, detachment and real aching to be rid of herpes. I imagined that I would need to carry on with the rest of my existence without any enduring closeness.
I was lost in an ocean of despair. This was on the grounds that[ my doctor let me know that I would need to be on drugs for the rest of my life. He additionally said to forget in regards to ever having intercourse with anybody ever again. There must be something I could do. The book points of interest an exceptional strategy for really murdering viral pathogens responsible for the herpes virus and also a brisk and natural technique for mending herpes blisters. I've been married for ten years to someone who is absolutely the love of my life, regardless of herpes. The first thing you must do before you develop any relationship is to be part of a support group for people who already have herpes. The group will help you so much from their own experiences... I know they will be able to answer all the questions you have. Please be honest with everyone no matter what you do!
