i am on temp disabilty with nerve damage in both feet i am also a diabetic when do i aplly for permament disabilty and when or should i hire a lawyer

Your doctor would have to fill out the forms saying that you are unable to work, I would imagine. If he is willing to attest to that fact, then you can apply. here are some links to social security disability..

You might have a chance to apply. it all depends on how old you are you. And if you could find some other work that you do not have to stand on ur two feet. And if ur doctor feels like you could no long work. and If he or she things you can't then the doctor has to write to SS that you on longer can work,

diabetic neuropathy is not generally accepted as a disability, so if you want to pursue that you will need a very good lawyer.
