Well TSH causes your thyroid to produce thyroxin. Thyroxin regulates many different functions in your body such as increasing heart rate, temperature, perspiration, and blood pressure. Therefore, I think it would be dangerous to have such high levels of TSH in your system. However, all I know is what the different hormones do and how they affect your body, so the best thing to do is to ask your doctor.

TSH is the Thyroid stimulating hormone which is secreted from the pituitary gland in the brain.
When it is high it means that your body does not have enough thyroid hormone and it's telling your thyroid to pump some more out.
When it's low it means there is too much thyroid hormone in your body.
I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, too high, and my hair was falling out, my hands shook so bad I couldn't write, I was anxious, heart palpitations, constantly thirsty, hungry, and constantly in the bathroom with diarrhea. Too much thyroid causes all the systems in your body to speed up.
They "killed" my thyroid by giving me a radioactive iodine pill and now I will take synthetic hormone the rest of my life.
Good luck...also, a great book to get is Thyroid for Dummies.

A high TSH means your body is makeing more Thyroid Stimulating Hormone in an effort to increase production because it wants more T3 and/or T4. In other words, it is a sign your thyroid is under productive.

If you have a high TSH and you have symptoms, you may be given thyroid medication to increase your T4, which your body breaks down into T3.

If your thyroid is too high, you are categorized as being hyperthyroidism. which means that are you are excreting too much thyroid hormone. youe probably skinny, have a fast heartbeat, experiencing weightloss, nervousness, restlessness, hairloss . this needs to me treated, if not, you could go into what is called a thyroid crisis, when too much TSH (thyroid-secreting hormone) excrete excessive amounts in a short period of time and cause faster heart rate and hyperthermia. You need some medication to lower your levels, surgery and/or radiation may also be needed. Please consult with your doctor.
