Hey! No it wouldn't. It would probably make the world a whole lot better.
Examples:
The World Hunger Report of 1993 states that "an almost purely vegetarian diet" would be able to feed 6,3 billion people, which would bring a whole lot of people around the world out of starvation.
The meat industry is a big contributor to many of the environmental challenges of our world like greenhous gas production, decreased biodiversity, water contamination, soil erosion, acid rain etc etc...
We would also save billions and billions of animals from suffering, as well as keep many people from suffering from mad-cow disease, salmonella and other diseases caused by eating meat.
38% of all cereal production is used to feed animals.
It takes 5 times as much water to produce 1 kilo meat compared to 1 kilo vegetables. How many people are in lack of water in the world today?
We cut down the Amazon and rainforest in southern Asia to produce soy beans for animals in the meat industry. These rainforests are the longues of our planet and they are important for the well-being of our planet, and us!
There are many reasons to become vegan - if the moral reasons ain't good enough - and I'm positive the world wouldn't come to an end if all people became vegan. Plus, if all people became vegans - it wouldn't happen over a night - and we would have time to adapt to it.
