I have only slept with one guy, and he had never been with anyone else. I KNOW THEY ALL SAY THAT. But he really really hadn't. He was clueless and prude and all that.
I have a new boyfriend, and a few days ago I gave him a bj and today he's complaining of a sore on his... area. He says it might just be a pimple, but it's freaking him out.
I can't even have herpes if the first guy had never been with anyone else, right?
It scares me a little because I am at higher risk for oral herpes, because I compulsively bite the inside of my mouth and always have open sores. But I have never experienced anything that sounds like a herpes outbreak. I know you don't have to have outbreaks to be a carrier, but I'm just saying... the sores I have aren't from herpes.
So, is it possible for me to have herpes? I guess maybe, but is it probable?

What's funny is, he DOES have a cold sore. Chances are, he gave it to me through kissing and I gave it back to him.
I've never had a cold sore in my life, which I find weird... then again, I might have and not known it because I always have sores due to my self-mutilation...

If all you have done with this new guy is oral sex then you might have oral herpes (cold sores). Cold sores are VERY common. It's estimated about 75 - 80% of the WORLD has them. Most people get cold sores from kissing or being kissed by someone who has cold sores, so you don't need to have sex to get them. Cold sores can be passed to the genital area though, and vice versa.
It's also possible your new guy got something from a previous partner and now it's showing up. Does he have any sores or just pain?
You can always get tested for herpes. Usually doctors like to diagnose herpes by a physical exam, but there is also a blood test you can get done. It will tell you if you have herpes simplex virus 1 (usually cold sores, but can also cause genital herpes), or herpes simplex virus 2 (usually genital herpes, but can also cause cold sores).

Relax, if your partners were/are both virgins then you don't have the STD version of herpies (HSV-2). But you may have the cold-sore version of herpies (HSV-1) and that can be transmitted to his genitals.

Most people have the hsv1 (the cold sore virus) in their bodies even if they have never had sex.
