AIDS is Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome which is an affliction that suppresses the immune system so your body can no longer protect itself from viruses and bacteria. People do not die from it, they die from complications caused by it.

as for cure I think there might be but it is more profitable for drug companies to sell the meds than a cure.
