hi, it says everywhere that chlamydia, if untreated can cause infertility, but if its caught early then the chances are better,, but how long is early? how long would you say you had to have it untreated till it affects you?

how long will be individual, depending on the health and the immune system of the person affected.

Yeh the above comments are correct it's totally upon the individual.
I will say though my friend got chlamydia a few years ago. We believe she had it for 9 months, apperantly she had tests done and it came back she was no longer fertile due to the infection. However after 2 years without using contraception she fell pregnant and had a healthy baby. So it certainly is on individual basis.

Yes it can cause problems with infertility. However on a plus side I had it when I was young and was told I would never have children and I am a mother of 3 and one on the way none which was planned. So do not be discouraged your chances are not gone.
