I can't resist a perfectly ripened tomato fresh off the vine from my own backyard! But freshly-picked raw green beans are delicious too, and zucchini is awesome. It's hard to decide!
So, what vegetable screams "SUMMER!" to you?

Tomatoes are veggies for the purposes of the question. But I wrote the previous addendum because "anonymus" wrote that she liked apples and bananas. She has since changed her answer.

I would have to say zucchini. My Mum and I make tons of zucchini bread and muffins throughout the summer. We eat a few, give a lot away and then freeze some to pull out in the winter when we want to think of summer!
BTW- it's not my favorite vegetable, but it screams summer to me. Broccoli is my fave by far!

Summer = corn on the cob Year round= peas!!!!! And tomatoes are both a vegetable and a fruit !

I like them all :( eggplant.. and fresh frozen peas with some earth balance and lots of fresh cracked pepper. Fresh Tomato(ya ya fruit) with basil leaf and olive oil/balsamic vinegar.. Corn..ahh theres too many sorry.

I'm not a big fan of eating them alone, but I like celery in tons of foods.
Besides that ... I might have to go with peas.

i love cucumbers. they are sooo refreshing. crisp and crunchy.oh they are soo good. especially with some red wine vinegar and a little garlic pinch of salt. or cucumbers and yogurt...yummy!!!
