I have some type of tachycardia that has been going on for 2 years now, my symptoms (shortness of breath, tachycardia with a 250+ HR, syncope, and chest pain) occur a couple times a day. I am 19, 5'4" and 120 pounds, have never had alcohol, nor drugs, nor have i smoked. I have had an EP study that was inconclusive, a 24 hour heart monitor, an even monitor for 30 days...the whole deal. I am scheduled for a second EP study and possible ablation in 2 weeks. Enough for history, now here is the question....

I have never been sexually involved at all because it is against my religious views before marriage, but I am very close to getting married and concerned that intercourse will drive my HR too high. I used to be able to run 5 miles no problem 3 years ago, but now i can't even climb 1 flight of stairs without passing out from a 250+ HR. If the doctors are unable to ablate my heart (and i have already tried 32 medications so that doesn't work) is sexual intimacy with my husband going to be a problem? I am sorry for asking this, but i really don't know and am too embarrased to ask my EP cardiologist. Please help me.
