It is a generalization. Most people who don't really know me assume I am a liberal Democrat, which is far from the truth. People think that because animal rights/veganism (even if you are a vegan purely for health reasons) is a "liberal" cause, so your political views must follow suit. Not always true.

I'm vegan -- what's a liberal?

Oh, you must be from the USA.

Maybe a proper q would be, why are some liberals veg*n? There are far more liberals than vegans. I'm a vegan and dont vote as an act of protest against corrupted politics. Even though some of my ideas can be described as liberal, some others cant. So I dont have any "political" label and I dont want one.

Because neo-cons don't care anything about cows,
gays, womens rights, minorities, the poor, the federal
deficit, ecological integrity, and America's good standing with the rest of the international community.

That's one vegan, bleeding heart, liberal speaking
for himself.

Well, that is somewhat of a stereotype, but since it was asked, I think I can answer as such.
Republicans tend to be a cold hearted, selfish and exclusive group while Democrats tend to be sympthetic, giving and inclusive.
This fall in line with vegetarian/vegan belifes....to unite all, to lead peaceful lives, and to share with one another.
