Don't worry about it; I suppose it happens to all of us from time to time if we eat processed food or eat out. Just resolve to check the labels more thoroughly & more frequently!

Oh, and Sunny Days - learn to use apostrophes correctly before criticising somebody else ;-o

It's probably not worth stressing over. Are you a vegan or vegetarian? From what I understand, a vegan eats no animal products whatsoever, including milk, eggs and cheese, whereas a vegetarian might eat these, and maybe fish.
I am a Seventh-Day Adventist, and we believe in abstaining from Biblically unclean foods, although many Adventists just go vegetarian. We believe that the body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, and we are not to defile it by putting garbage in it.
I prefer to eat meat still, but I only eat "clean" meats. This means that I should not eat gelatin, as it is made from horse hooves (an unclean animal). Sometimes I slip and have some jello, but I just ask God to forgive me and go on.

Yoghurts were such a problem in Australia when I lived there, that was one of the reasons I stopped being veggie while I lived there (boo, hiss!), but that was a long time ago and I wouldn't do it again. Presumably it is the guilt making you feel sick, but if it was unintentional you shouldn't feel guilty. If you did it with full knowledge, then you have to ask yourself what is more important - my stomach or my ethics?

If this is something you believe in then no wonder you're feeling bad about it. I'm not vegetarian but my daughter was for yrs and I can understand why you are upset. There's nothing you can do now so calm yourself down andf make a mental note not to eat that again.

You feeling sick is almost certainly psychosomatic. Stop worrying, it won't actually hurt you. And always read the ingredients in foodstuffs BEFORE you eat them if you're worried about consuming trace amounts of gelatin or any other animal derived product.

Many, many yogurts contain gelatin. I've learned that if I don't want to be disgusted by realizing I just ate something gross, I have to read the labels on everything. I've learned to quickly scan them, looking for key words (such as gelatin).

Don't worry... it happens to the best of us. I'm sure we can all relate.

Um, if you didn't realise you'd eaten gelatine until after you'd read the label, I wouldn't worry.

If it made you feel sick before you read up, maybe it wasn't the gelatine?

Don't worry about it - if it had masses of gelatin in it, it would resemble a large fruit pastel - just make sure you check the label next time!
