You will have to cut out Alchohol,especially beer. Go to a Diabetic website,and check out diabetic recipes.All of us can benefit from losing weight,even when not diabetic. But it is important now for you,because your illness can lead to big complications when you are older. Fortunately for the young I sincerely believe Scientists are close to finding a cure.Excercise tightening up your abdominal muscles. A exercise site will help you. Good luck!

and i suggest you go to your local sporting good store and buy a corset-like weight lifting/back brace just wear it backwards with the wide part on top of your belly
(you can even find it at a drugstore on the bandaid isle)
best brand "tru-fit", you'll find it where they have the arm/leg supports the extra "heat" will melt away the fat and wearing under clothes will give you a slimmer looking appereance ^.^

Im sure that you do have a doctor and that he has prescribed a diet for you. If you adhere to the diet and do some exercises like runing. If you are serious about losing weight and you follow these recomendations, you will lose weight. Try to get into the habit of drinking plenty of water. For me, drinking water actually satisfies some of my hunger.

Find a local Physiotherapist who does Pilate's, explain your health problem and she will know what exercises to give you. Good luck glad to see you want to do something positive.
