I have been on Advair 250/50 for about 6 weeks and I consistently have a scratchy voice and it seems like I cough a lot more since I have been on it. Are these all side effects?

Yes I am rinsing my mouth out and gargling with water after I take the inhaler and I still lose my voice.

The doctor or pharmacists who gave you the advair should have instructed you to rinse and spit after using it.

A common side effect of Advair is thrush (mouth sores) You should rinse out your mouth after use. If you drink water after you uses Advair, you are just washing the remaining steroid from your mouth to your stomach. This is not the recommended way to clean the mouth after use.

You need to look at the people who have been on Advair and some of their horrible side effects. I don't believe this is a good medicine to be on. Punch in "Advair side effects."

if you drink a glass of water right after you inhale ,the advair should go down into the lungs and you shouldn't get a sore throat

Make sure you are rinsing and spitting after using your inhaler. This will prevent mouth sores and throat problems like thrush.
