No. In fact, a person can't catch or contract ANY STDs from a toilet seat.

I have had genital herpes and HPV for 6+ years now. I lived with my younger brothers and parents for most of those 6 years (I was diagnosed when I was 17 years old). NONE of them ever contracted herpes from my by using the toilet after me, or the shower, sink, pool, hot tub, chair, etc, for that matter. And, NONE of my friends, other family members, or boyfriends (now exs) ever contracted the virus from me by using the bathroom after me.

Herpes is just not spread like that. Herpes is ONLY spread by sex (vaginal, oral, and anal) and by DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area. It can also be spread by birth if the mother has it but this is REALLY rare.

It's a very tiny... miniscule... possibility. Basically, they would have to be rubbing their genitalia on the toilet seat, while they were shedding virus, then you'd have to sit on the seat and rub yourself all over it too.
Use a toilet seat cover and call it a day.
Besides, one in 5 people already have it anyway.

Aside from pubic lice, you can't catch ANY STD's from a toilet seat. Anyone who tells you they did is a lying tramp!

No, it's not possible I don't know who's gyno is actually telling them it is. It can't live outside of the body. Like others have mentioned you can get crabs but that's it.

I wouldn't think so. Most things ( herpes, ect) can't live outside the body long at all. They need that constant body temperature to survive :) I wouldn't worry!
