Chest pain should always be taken seriously. If you are not allergic I would take 300mg of Aspirin (to thin any clots).Take your GTN and Call an ambulance ... It is safer to get to the ED by ambulance then arrest in the back of a car. The quicker you get to hospital the better your chances of survival. You may need a clot buster. At any rate you will need an ecg, blood test (for cell damage), oxygen, pain relief and review by Cardiologist. You may only have angina however remain nil by mouth as a coronary angiogram/plasty or other surgical procedure may be decided. Also lay semi upright and have some one do the calling. The less energy used the more oxygen supplied to your heart. Alison S.

i doubt they are actual heart attacks, but could be warnings of one to come. an irregular heartbeat should not be ignored. this can sometimes be a sign of something more serious. try to notice if the pain is barought on by any certaiin thing. you might want to request a stress test, and perhaps another type of cardiogram. poor circulation is also a sign of an underlying heart problem, tho would not likely cause a quick sharp pain. be persistant. you could have a small blockage somewhere that is just starting to be a problem, and you wouldnt want to miss it. good luck

Irregular heart beats and chest pain with referred to left arm has a definite relation !You should go for low level TMT means stress test for to know your heart function and coronary filling indirectly !Have you got perspiration along with that pain?have you suffered any suffocation or shortness of breath at the same time ?Have you suffered syncope means some thing like becoming unconsciousness ?is there any such family history ? what is your age now?what is your blood pressure ?See to diagnose your problem doctor needs this to know ! But please go for TMT and Signal Average EKG for diagnosis !Always YiuRsmE

Darlin, go down to the emergency room, ask this question, and see how fast they jump. They'll be all over you. The answer is, probably not a heart attack but they will want to test you. I knew I had reflux but my doctor refused to see me until I went to the ER and had a treadmill test. It's that important.

I'm not sure how old you are, and if heart problems run in the family or not, but I had something similar happen to me. I was told they were anxiety attacks (I went to the ER, it freaked me and hurt so badly). Talk to a doctor.

See your doctor. He/She will give you a thorough check-up and run some tests. I have no idea what is causing your pain, and neither does anyone else who answers this (unless he or she is an MD)
