Fruits are best eaten, rather than used to wash hair. The benefits come from within, it's just a marketing tool.

Some ingredients found in Shampoo:
Formaldehyde
Diethanolamine (DEA or TEA)
Propylene Glycol
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
Benzyl/Benzene

Compared to all of these chemicals found in most shampoos, My choice is Fruit and mint. Think of all the harm it causes the enviornment to produce these chemicals! Growing fruit is good for the enviorment and it's a renuable resource. As far as I know there in no shortage of fruit.

If she is successful will we all follow suit I DON'T THINK SO!
but there was a time when that's all we had! Shells, leaves and whatever.

"herbal" graded foods are not fit for consumption - for example strawberries that are field frozen and begin to ferment aren't food worthy but can be made into a strawberry extract for cosmetic use. It is a way to use foods and herbs that would otherwise go to waste.
