It is because of his diabetes.

Two characteristic symptoms, namely, copious urination and glucose in the urine give the name to the disease. The normal volume of urine passed daily is about one and a half litres. The urine is of a pale colour, has an acidic reaction and sweetish odour. The quantity of sugar present in it varies from 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 g the total per day in many cases reaching as much as 1 kg in 15 litres of urine.

His diabetes has affected his nervous system and he doesn't have bladder control. He should be treated for neuropathy (disease of the nerves) and retrained for bladder control. Else, he may need a catheter and a bottle or urine bag.

Kids usually stop wetting the bed around the ages of 5-7years old. You have a few more years before he is able to control that in his sleep.

Ask him not take water before sleeping and he must urinate before going to bed. If bed wetting continues for more than a week, just consult your doctor...

i think it really important you both talk to your health doctor about this problem. it may be that his bladder has weakened or may be a serious health issue that may or may not be related to you'r husband's health problems. there is really nothing anyone can tell you about this here, except that yins need to speak with your health doctor. (good luck).
