Do you think that certain character traits have caused you to become/remain religious?

Curiosity and skeptisism can be thought of as character traits. They both are part of the reason why I remain atheist.

I don't think curiosity and skepticism are character traits that promote or demote religion. There are curious and skeptical Christians and atheists.

I am skeptical about something when it is contrary to the way I think it should be (whether religious or not). For this reason, I believe being skeptical has to do with one's rational mind-- because one is evaluating something and wants further clarification before being satisfied that the information is trustworthy.

This has nothing to do with a character trait. However, if one is more skeptical than most, it may be because that person has a higher standard of proof that may or may not be reasonable. Or extraordinary skepticism may be an expression simple pessimism.

I think curiosity and skepticism are what make me a believer. I can't imagine there not being more realms and spheres than what we can see with our eyes. It feels a little dumb to assume that.

Also, human beings clearly have a spiritual side to them. My idea is that it's because most people can sense a spiritual world.

Curiosity and skepticism are the reasons that I accepted and remain a Christian.

You can be anything you want to be Woody boy! I have remained a believer in Christ from my own personal experiences. Those can not be talked away, my feet are firmly planted because I know He lives.
