Theist are always saying 'atheist think we are descendants from monkeys and that there is no purpose to life.' (of coarse thats not what we are saying but anyway) so i have a question.

Much suffering and sadness and confusion could have been avoided if god hadn't bothered to create existence. Sure theres a lot of good things that come with life also. i love life but had i never existed i would be none the wiser. So, my question is; Why did god bother?...What do you think was gods purpose to life?

God is love. He enjoys seeing people become happy.

Your statement about what you say theists are "always saying" is a nice way of introducing your disdain and blanket intolerance for anyone with a world view different from your own and therefore renders any further discourse unmerited. You go on to say you have a question but if you start your interaction with such an arrogant approach which can only be seen as a motive with less than genuine interest in what someone with a different world view than your own has to say then by what premise do you suppose anyone is required to show you any respect and answer any further inquieries? Do you know how idiotic it looks to shut people down first and then to presume an answer from them? Your question is a very good one and deserves to be answered and there exists a very intelligent and acceptable conclusion for it but you have to be nice first. Show some respect waldo. If I see that first I would love to give you an adequate answer to your question

That's a real TELEOLOGICAL question, isn't it?

But I must ask WHY does there HAVE to be a purpose to life?

Why can't we just exist, live, die, and that's it?

Why not ask the really IMPORTANT questions, like....

Where does your LAP come from when you sit down? What happens to your FIST when you open your hand?

This "God of Love" thing is just untenable to everyone except about 9% of the population these days. Evolution-in-Action, says that within the next few years, the percentage of "believers" will be down to less than 1%. See, it's working!

Choice. Your life your choice.

When God decided to create a being with Freewill God knew that some of them would make bad choices. God would like to hang out with people who make good choices.

So people could have a choice, a simple choice, God created two choices, Heaven and Hell. So people would have some place to hang out while they decided which choice they would make God created the Earth.

God made the rules really simple, "My house, My rules. If you don't follow them you can live someplace else." Of course there is only one someplace else to choose besides God's house.

There are two choices possible and they are similar to the rules of society:

1: Choose to live by the rules and live in God's house (or any nation).
2: Choose to break the rules and got tossed into a pit (or a prison).

Now why people think these rules are so unfair I do not know.

How come Atheists are not protesting the existence of prisons the way they protest the existence of hell?

God is most gracious and most merciful. Go is the Almighty. Before He create the universe and all those creatures, nobody know his greatness. The reason He create life is to show His existence and to serve Him.

For example If you are a king, I am sure you will have a big castle, ministers and your people who will serve you. You will set your own laws and all those people must obey your command.

You will reward those who serve you well and punish the disobedient? Why? To show them this is your kingdom and you are the king.

Do I need to go further? You know better than me.

This is an interesting viewpoint. For anyone who rejects God, self has to be the central focus of everything and nihilism is just around the corner. What would anything matter if I didn't exist?

God chose to create you and me and all humans and offer us the possibility to have an eternal fellowship with Him. To walk with Him in the garden in the cool of the evening as He did with Adam and Eve. To become His sons and daughters. To know the One who created us.

God experimented with all forms of life from the Amoeba, the lowest form of life, through to human beings. When he created the universe he created many planets, stars and galaxies. So many in fact that our astron omers haven't found them all yet. On each world he populated it with a form of life. Some intelligent, some not. Some with a shape, and solidity, some with no shape, and no density. Wherever he went each form and life had it's own set of rules.Humans have their set of rules.Positive and Negative.God is sitting in his favourite arm chair, watching his splendiferous telly, and seeing how all his creations are shaping up.When he looks at Earth,he must be having one hell of a laugh.

it is too simple question to be noticed. in fact, it is a very good question, but only if asked when should be asked. so there are some times when I think I shouldn't ask this very simple question. because when some one inside me fails to reply gets very engry. and when some one not inside me but arround me find no answers to this original question of the human hearts of every era, they fill very uncomfortable. so asking this type of questions is at the same time suitable and unhealthy.
any way it is not the answer.
my answer is, if it's about God's will, he has never come down on earth to satisfy our query. or of course he has sent representatives to please us with their answers and has still been doing succesfully in case of a large part of the man kind. of course there are some parts who refuse to be ok with those answers or want more satisfactory answers which they don't get from the wisest peoples arround. so what can they do but keep asking. they simply want to serve God by knowing and following his wills and purpose. so what is there wrong with them to do so. time has changed but not answers. no modifications in that for the new generation askers. i prefer to do so: if i have to live with a purpose when i don't find god to help me, may be i can keep looking with a loving attitude (or specificaly, with a nutral attitude) and make a good purpose for my living a healthy life. because i go wrong in doing that i may never find the right answer. or if i make mistake in doing that may be i do harm to my useful life for a simple common useless qestion. because life and so many resources of it could be more important for me for the time being than the answer which i time give me in a while. any way, what purpose of our existance do the religions on earth give us but go to hell or live in heavenes !! do any of us realy care of those unearthly words! if nobody meets up your answer you will find it yourself. because you are the life. if you was not born there was no life. there is no light if you don't see it. so u are the one who make red a red colour and sky a sky. you don't have to ask others for your purpose to live. so let God tell us his wills if there is no one else.

Gods purpose was to show His glory through His creation.
We all serve that purpose (in one way or another).
