do they hope to gain? And what a great job, I mean they planted evidence EVERYWHERE. BTW, have you heard of a credible argument against evolution? Any evidence that contradicts the basic principles of natural selection? I haven't heard a single criticism of evolution that wasn't being put out by someone with a religious agenda. That's propaganda, twisting the facts to support your established view. Rationalism is the exact opposite.
So who started this conspiracy and why?

Lamark was an idiot. Is it so hard to recognize that a giraffe-ancestor with a slightly longer neck would have more food sources open to him, giving him a slight edge and therefore be the sire of more progeny, passing on the long-neck-gene.

you know I especially like the
"there's no evidence for evolution"
Yes....thousands of scientists in all kinds of fields have just accepted the theory of evolution just on the say so of Darwin!
If you're going to make some kind of comment AGAINST evolution at least actually go to the trouble of reading up on it first of all.

Depends on the conspiracy theory. In general I tend to believe the standard belief held by most people - I think the theory that claims 9-11 was an inside job is absolutely ludicrous for example. If the theory was compelling enough I might believe it - but as of right now, I haven't seen a conspiracy theory yet that I find more compelling and accurate than the standard held explanation. Then again, I'm one of those weirdo Christians who finds evolution to be plausible :) Peace!

Darwin claimed that all living things had a common ancestor and that they evolved from one another by means of natural selection but remember when he put this theory forward the disiclines of Genetics, Microbiology and Biochemistry did not yet exist, and Darwin being an open-minded person would have withdrawn his fanciful ideas.
Because this theory would mean that there would have to be literally millions of transitional forms and the fact that still none have been found evolutionists then put forward a new model which they termed Neo-Darwinism.
According to this theory species evolved as a result of mutations which was not only unscientific but hapharzard guessing, no sooner was this theory shown as useless they then jumped to another one known as `Punctuated Equilibrium` that states that living beings suddenly evolved into other species without transitional forms at all, this theory too was deemed inadequate as it actually pointed to creation and so this was allowed to die quietly.
Since the theory of evolution was first advanced the followers have continually moved the goalposts when it suited them and has come no nearer to being a valid explanation than it was in 1859.

Lamark was the first. He was long before Darwin. He hypothesized that giraffes had evolved and had long necks because they needed to get to the tree food.
Most of the food they like is on the ground. Also, they would have starved waiting those millions of years to evolve their long necks.

The Christians have tried to suppress science before. Leonardo Di VInci, Copernicus, Galileo and the philosophers of Alexandra who were put to death because they did not agree with the bible. (skinned alive even the woman)
Whatever any religion will throw at truth, it will survive and flourish. We Will Overcome!
