Arthur, did God put the 'mark of Cain' on George W. Bush, as well?

Yes, he was protecting a murder so the murderer could commit incest with his sister.

That way Seth, the third son, would mate with his niece, a lessor offense.

God has been known to exhibit grace toward sinners (including Cain, you and me). The "mark of Cain" was given to protect Cain even though he did not deserve protection. Grace is by definition undeserved. The Bible says that God will have mercy on whomever he pleases and he hardens whomever he pleases (see Romans 9). God does not make it a practice to explain himself to us every time he does something.

Jesus said that if we have ever hated another person, we have committed murder in our heart (which would make us guilty of the same sin as Cain). The gospel that the New Testament proclaims is that Jesus has taken the punishment for our sins so that we can escape God's wrath just as Cain did. That is good news.

Cain's First Recorded Sins

It came to pass "in process of time" (marginal note: "at the end of days"), i.e., probably on the Sabbath, that the two brothers presented their offerings to the Lord. Abel's offering was of the "firstlings of his flock and of the fat," while Cain's was "of the fruit of the ground." Abel's sacrifice was "more excellent" (Hebrews 11:4) than Cain's, and was accepted by God. Cain became very angry and cherished feelings of murderous hatred against his brother. His desperate outrage led him to kill his brother (1 John 3:12).

Cain's Punishment

For this crime, from that day on he led the life of an exile, bearing upon him some mark which God had gave him in answer to his cry for mercy. This may have served as a protection from the wrath of his fellow-men, or it may be that God only gave him some sign to assure him that he would not be slain (Gen. 4:15). Doomed to be a wanderer and a fugitive in the earth, he went forth into the "land of Nod", i.e., the land of "exile", which is said to have been in the "east of Eden," and there he built a city, the first we read of, and called it after his son's name, Enoch.

Well, I was told that he was marked so that he would have to live with the loathing of all those who were against him. Also, he had to live with his decisions for the rest of his life, and back then, apparently they lived for just short of a thousand years....
Just think of it as he was made to walk the Green Mile for eons..........anticipating what would happen when he died.

I am an atheist, but this is the story as I learned it at my mother's knee...lol

Murder is in the heart of every man, so is it a good thing to sometimes protect murderers? God has mercy on who He chooses and He judges who He judges.

Additional: Very interesting that in R&S all the biblical answers are getting TROLLED? Is that what a troll does? So trolls hate truth and live in da Nile.

God placed this mark on Cain because Cain conspired with Satan to murder his brother Abel. For one reason or another God allowed Cain to live and procreate. There is a reason he did this. I believe we will understand why he did this, eventually.

Good question. He did it to keep anyone from killing him. You would have to read the WHOLE passage to understand why it was done, if you so choose to. Arthur please tell me where this conspiracy is.......in the BIBLE...send me an email and tell me what chapter it is in .....thnx
