Iraq in my opinion is now officially a quagmire , see link - http://www.ips-dc.org/iraq/quagmire/
The only way for the U.S. to win this war and come out looking good is to level Iraq . Don't get me wrong I am not a person who supports senseless slaughter but when the rest of the world looks at the U.S. they see the most powerful nation in the world today , getting defeated once again by gorilla warfare { a tactic a 11 year old would know how to use } . The U.S. leveling Iraq is imperative to our interests { wether people want to realize it or not } and also to our national image which lets be honest - is not good and hasn't been for years . We need to show the world whoever dares attack us or any of our interests will lose and the way to do that is not by diplomacy , not by pieces of paper , not by new schools , not by turning on electricity in Iraq , not by debates which are nothing but a waste of time and finally not by calling Bush names { which accomplishes nothing } - we need to level it , to show the world and people everywhere we will not cow down to people who want to destroy us , we will not listen to the U.N. { United Nations or United for Nonsense as I like to call them } , we will not sit by and let our boys die , we will not and we can not . In conclusion Iraq needs to be leveled to show the world - attack us and it will be at your peril because you will lose .
Anyone agree ?

Well, Iraq didn't attack us and we are there to give the Iraqi people freedom. Seems like you want to give Iraqis the ultimate in freedom, which is death.
You are talking about commiting genocide. Genocide will happen if we do pull out of Iraq immediately. Pulling out is only logical way of stopping the vicious cycle of death in Iraq. We have already screwed up big time. If we stay, people will keep dieing until Iraq is completely Americanized.
If we commit genocide in Iraq with bombs, then we would basically be flexing our muscles to every other country in the world. We would be attacked, due to the fact that we would be an iminent threat.

Who attacked Vietnam First? Why don't the great Powers that want to teach the whole world a lesson learn from their own bungles of the past.? Every mighty Goliath thinks he can browbeat the rest of the world. Along comes a little brat called David and they live ever after in peace! It is this brash arrogance of power that invites unnecessary calamities like the 9/11 in which innocent people pay for the savagery of a few , provoked by similar savagery paraded by States as Patriotism.Savagery of anykind is just that and cannot be embellished as morality or patriotism. The Mahabharata War and later the Kalinga War proved the same.

Leveling Iraq would create a void that has oil. It's like throwing a bloody animal to sharks. In this case those sharks are Saudia Arabia, Syria and Iran. If the U.S. were to pump the oil out of Iraq itself and then give the money to the Iraqi government to disperse it, I think there will be enough strings involved where the Iraqis would have to go the government yet the government couldn't hoard the money for the largest tribes.

traditionally conversing, partitioning of a usa on no account works because of the fact it encourages despotic government. Iraq is now in contact in a non secular civil war. the only way that the situation would nicely be resolved is that if the Sunni and Shiite factions settle their non secular variations first. that isn't any distinctive than the situation in Northern eire between the Catholics and the Protestants. the two worldwide places have delight subjects interior their respective non secular factions. until those delight difficulty are solved civil war will proceed.

So why did the US start all this? Iraq will not be flattened. More US soldiers and civilians will die...along with other nationalities. Terrorism will increase because of this war...for generations. All 27 countries involved in Iraq have had terrorist attacks witin their country.
Did Iraq want to destroy the US? You started it but cannot finish it! Better planning next time please.

Hmm, when did iraq attack you?
If you chose to level iraq, and wipe out a whole nation then the us would lose the humanistic character that has built with such an effort.
U.S. wants to show an image of a world assistant while in reality
U.S. seeks world economic control.
Maybe your solution would be more honest. They would admit that we don't care about human rights, we are here for our interest and only. Kind like Hitler.

Horrible idea. You forget that we are in ongoing negotiations with North Korea and Iran about WMDs. Our premises are that they are unstable and reckless. For us to just level Iraq would be to negate every argument that we have posed to them.

do you really think that any terrorist organization in this life can organize and fund an operation like 9/11? and you said win the war! but who challenged the us to a war? the US government claimed that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and then after killing innocent 650,000 people results came out that this was a lie? the truth is the US government was the one who did the 9/11 to have an excuse to control the oil of the Arab world so people like you can maintain the same level of life....Saddam is dead there isn't and there wasn't a challenge to WIN this so called WAR...and since when we call a man that fights for his own country a terrorist? that means that all soldiers in Iraq are terrorists...
don't you agree with me?
