I need to work on myself rather than just sit around here and get pissed off at all the crap that people say and let it make me bitter inside. It was nice knowing everyone on here and yall have a good night and thanks for listening to my questions.

Hi Candice, Hope this does not sound smug but you really do not know the extent of your faith no one really does, this is known only by God alone.
Remember that Jesus said `If you have faith the size of a mustard seed you could command the tree to uproot itself and plant itself in the sea` it is not the amount of faith you think you have but your willingness to nurture it, what I`m saying is that we all have our own level of faith and how can you measure yours against another`s.
So basically it is not your faith that has diminished but the practice of your faith that has suffered, if you don`t use it you can lose it.
You must be assured that you have faith and start to work on it, and the basic life of faith is prayer, without prayer we do indeed grow weak and I sggest that you try a solid prayer group in your area, it is so easy these days to become discouraged and this is the first downward step in losing heart.

I looked at the other answers. most are ok, but the people who told you to read your BIBLE are right. so I am guessing that You may be intimidated by this, not knowing what to read etc. So please allow me to give you a few places to start. The gospel of John is a good start, and read some old testament stories like David and Goliath, 1 Samuel 17. The story of Mount Carmel, 1 Kings 16:29, thru 19:21. Jehoshophat and His reign is a good one, 1 Kings 22:1-36. Elijah's transition of his ministry to Elisha, 2 Kings 2:1-25. 2 Kings 2:1-37. 2 Kings 5:1-27.2 kings 2:1-7. Keep reading the stories about Elisha, they are real good. Then to help more share your knowlege of these stories as the LORD provides an opportunity. Learn read share witness. and remember if someone rejects what you have said it is no reflection on you, ok? Just witness, and let the HOLY SPIRIT do the convicting. You plant the seeds, and let them grow.

The bible says that in these last days many shall depart from the faith. If you want to HOLD ON, then read the Word . Faith comes by hearing ( spiritual ears ) what the Spirit is saying to the church, and that hearing comes through the Word. There are so many things diverting people now days, that it will be hard to keep the faith, but it is NECESSARY . I pray the Spirit will give you a HUNGER for His Word...

PEACE...

Just remeber this.....If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. John 15:18 Here John was talking about Jesus. This whole chapter is about abiding in faith. There is a sermon that I love to hear, called "Knocked down, but not knocked out" by Jack Hyles. It is all about keeping your chin up, hold your head high. See there are very few things in life that cannot be taken away from us. Saving grace is one, our faith is another. What we can do besides praying without ceasing, is go out be a help to someone, tell someone about God, go visit someone that has no family, feed someone that is hungry. These things sound simple but you will be very surprised in how they will reinforce your faith. God Bless you and keep you...."If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything"

Christianity is what you do, its not just what you believe
Have you ever heard the expression "Church on Sunday, Murder on Monday"
As long as you know in you heart that you are doing good, then you are still keeping the faith. I think you want to be one of the good people. Just keep doing the little things right, and it adds up to a good person. Makes keeping the faith easier..

That would depend on why you think your faith is less than it was before. What are you doing or thinking that make now different from yesterday? There are times when for some reason, believers do not feel as close to God as they once did. In my own case, it has been because I am concentrating on me...rather than on Him. When I remember him constantly and seek to do His will as I go about my day, my faith increases and grows stronger.

Faith= belief without question or proof.

Is that really what you want? And BTW, if asking for assistence from an all powerful god doesn't help, I'm not sure what could.

Maybe ask yourself why you are lacking faith. Are you clear about what you want to have faith in? Or is it possible that the beliefs you were raised with just don't quite click anymore?

I am no longer a christian. I became a disciple of The Spirit of truth this past year. I now realize that as a christian I was basing my faith on things that are simply not true. Only The Spirit of truth knows all about me, Jesus, and God. She has shown me a more excellent way. It is the way that Jesus taught us in the n.t. She is the only one who knows exactly what you need to build real true faith. She is only a thought away at all times.

Faith is not a diminishing factor. You can either have it or not have it. Why do you get this feeling is what you should identify. Once the syptom is identified. Start treating it. eventually all will fall into place. Religious matters needs to actioned with commitment or dont at all.

Ask god for the strength to correct your self. He who bring you to it.. will take you through it.

God bless

I don't consider myself a Christian, but I do believe in God. I recently realized some things that made me regain my faith that God exists - I suggest you look at your life and all the things that happened to you and maybe look for hints of God's presence in your life. Although I wasn't looking for it, that is exactly what I found. Good luck.
