I dont believe in judging people on their religious beliefs, I believe everyone is free to believe as he or she wishes. I dont understand why people just cant respect people for who they are, and not what they worship or believe. I have friends who are christian, atheists, jehovah witness, catholic ect. My point being Dont hate someone because of their religious preference, Love them for the person they are.. Let me know what you think?

I am not saying that people dont do bad things, but just because 1 african american, 1 white man, 1 native american, 1 what ever race does something bad does not mean the whole country is bad. Some people will never learn, and thats why are women & children brothers and sisters are getting raped, murdered and kidnapped. Because some people cant let go of the past, and try to be better people.

I agree with you totally. Respecting one anothers views does not mean that we have to agree with them. Being respectful of the individual is simply "the right thing to do", religious or not.

I agree.

You don't need religious beliefs to judge someone, there are so many other qualities and things one can use to judge & hate others.

But sadly, many people don't like people that are different from them, in any way. People's differences are often a threat and cause fear in others, doesn't matter if it's a belief system, or a handicap, or a skin color, the car you drive or whatever. It takes work to understand differences, it takes time and tolerance and love, it is so much easier to guess or speculate and form an opinion from that, than to talk with someone and find out the truth about our differences.

Debate and disagrement are not signs of hatred. I can respect someone, I can respect their right to believe what they want to believe. What I can't do is pretend I don't think religion and faith are silly.

I do not believe in the supernatural or mythological. I don't force that point of view down peoples throats but I do make it available. I also enjoy asking questions that (hopefully) get everyone to think about things a bit differently.

It really is a great theory, most religions are founded on finding "lost sheep" to bring into their flock and go out and actively find them. When 2 or more are recruiting in the same area is when we have problems. Take a look at most of our wars. As humans its natural to stick with what you know we want people to be like us and if they're not, we don't trust them. I agree with you one hundred percent though. Why should it matter what religion I practice at home, what color my skin is , or who I sleep with? It shouldn't at all.

That's true now adays people can''t get along when it comes to religious belief of others. That's why there are still ethnic wars happening around the world because of this.We should be tolerant of the way other worship as long as you are not extremist just like Taliban.

Making judgments is necessary for survival. Do you really want to suspend judging who it is safe to get in an elevator with, or who to trust to take out your appendix?

And if none of us says what we think for fear of denying others the right to think differently, then none of us is really free to say what we think.

The problem as I see it is that modern life lets us forget that we need each other, even when we disagree, or don't even like each other. Back when there were less walls and distance between us, Og knew he needed Grog to watch his back, so he watched Grog's back -- even if he thought Grog was an s.o.b.

We are never going to all agree on everything, even unto the heat death of the universe. We are never going to all feel warm and cuddly about everybody else, either.

If you don't think of "love" as "feeling warm and cuddly" and instead think of it as "choosing to act for the other's well-being even when you don't feel like it," then it makes sense to act lovingly even toward people we think believe all wrong. After all, we want to keep them around so that we can keep trying to educate them, right? :)

I think that most people are tolerant of others, but that there is a relatively small group of people who have to tell others how to behave and that ruins it for everyone else.

I don't hate them and have nothing personally against what they want to believe- UNLESS, they use what they believe to make laws and control the society that I am a part of.

Organized religion divides people and is the major cause of genocide and wars.
