None of the above.

The truth, however, is a different matter.

Sometimes what sounds logical at first [to man's finite mind] ends up sounding very illogical later on. It was logical to believe that the earth was flat. It couldn't be round or people who were upside down would fall off the earth. But after we learned about gravity the idea of a round earth didn't seem that illogical. Generally everyone says these illogical words "the sun is going down" or "the sun is rising." The truth is that the sun never moves. The earth rotates. But it was logical, from the best evidence people had a long while back, to say that the sun revolves around the earth. The definition of what is "logical" is constantly changing based upon new discoveries that we make. Tell me that the findings in Quantum Mechanics are "logical." No way. They run against our current definition of what is logical. A new definition will have to be molded to fit the new set of evidence and data collected. When God says that man was created from dirt, He isn't giving a full scientific explanation of the way man came to be upon this earth. To put it succinctly it means that the materials God used to make the body of man came from this earth (proteins, H20, atoms, etc.) The Bible isn't about the "how." It's about the "why." Science isn't about the "why" it's about the "how."

Evolution

I'm assuming your talking about Christianity because I'm not sure how other religious introduce the birth of man.

so, in that mind set...Logically speaking, Evolution. I'm not religious but i have a lot of questions about divine creation of man amongst other things I've read in the bible.

but Christan religion at face value, to me at least, doesn't seem to have much logic and the story it tells is very broken but it does teach a lot of sound moral and personal values.

every one will interpret it differently.. but what other ways can you interpret...

"Genesis 2:7 the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground"

it makes no sense at all.

but religion isn't all about logic is about acceptance, personal peace and spiritual happiness.

not all agree.. but what ya gonna do until there is something for people who are more concrete to grasp or the whole thing is disproved.

Most do not take the time to look at both sides of the issue. Take Huffy for instance with his answer about unicorns in the Bible. It is a mistranslation by the authors of the KJV.The actual translation would have been ox, which most secular scholars know by now. The porn part I have no idea where he dreamed that one up from
Actually neither really sounds logical. Evolution has no idea how life started. Abiogenesis has not one bit of scientific proof to back the theory. And yes I have read Hazen's work. Not once has macro evolution has ever been observed.
It just comes down to which you have faith in the most. Science does not test for the supernatural, the Bible says to take it on faith as it does not deal with science

clearly this world is made by design and not a fluke,just in the same way a car is or a complicated piece of machinery there was clearly a procsess behind it.cant you people see!can you be so blind.listen to what your heart tells you.is it so caloused that it can no longer feel due to negative voices in your head.maybee you cant deal with the fact that if your wrong, then you would be faced with the possability of reconing with the fact that maybee ...just maybee there is more to this deal.God forbid that there is actualy a God out there who gave his only son to save this tortured world from itself.that would mean you would have to deal with the thought that if its true then where does that leave me?play russian ruelet with your life its your choice because at the end of the day ignorence is no excuse when you stand before the creator of heaven and earth,the lover of your soul,the one who has a plan and a purpose for you.lets just hope your right .because if there is no God of christianity then we believers of all people should be pittied......i am who i am and im straight up and in your face,i dont go around makeing myself out to be a perfect christian and then go home and kick the dog like im sure some christians do,but does that make me or you better than them.should we base what we believe and the decisions we make on the way the other person behaves?we all come into this world alone and alone we will depart.if i was perfect then why would i need God.im a work in progress as far as im concerned.i know where i came from and i know where i am now is in better standing with God than ten years ago.ive got issues but then who hasent.jesus doesnt love me any more than he loves you the only thing ive done different is accepted his gift.now im rich beyond belief even though im poor.there are times when the core of my very being crys out for the lost and i feel helpless....what can one man do....but if i can change the world of one,just one person and share the gift that i have and have that gift change their world for good as i know it has for me then this pouring out of my heart has not been in vain.if it has been in vain then the only consolation i have is the blood of all the people who read this is not on my hands.

At face value - neither.

But if you suppose a Supreme Being, a man created from dirt and a talking snake is more logical than random coincidences created all life as we know it.

A man created from dirt - sound illogical (to some people);
Talking snake - sound illogical (to some people);
Evolution - sound illogical (to some people );

To God it is just a simple process - created as a sign of His existence. It is illogical to some people. That's why He created heaven and hell.

Neither. Because evolution does not explain everything, most importantly the 'why' of everything? It only tries to explain the 'how'. A famous doctor says that he felt helpless and humble when could not answer a person who asked why her loved one died. He could only answer how he died and that shattered the myth of scientific explanations for everything. Creation from dirt should not be taken literally. It is a metaphor to say that we do not have an inherent,permanent,unchanging state of being. 'From dust we come and unto dust we become' symbolizes this biological birth.

Believe it or not---there are actually fundamentalists around who still believe man has 1 less rib than a woman!!!---but hey---the OT had awesome things---Like Unicorns!!!---unbelievable cruelty--pornography--A book mainly written by murderers like Moses & King David--perhaps the censors should review some of the macabre perversion done by this shocking deity the Jews dreamed up!!!
