People from all beliefs: Do you like the stories Jesus used to tell? Do you think there's much wisdom to be found in his speech? I'm an agnostic for instance, but I can say that I admire his teachings very much. Many common quotes, that we use today, are attributed to Him.

yeah, but I don't think these are his original words. his flow of speech has been lost in translation.

different parts of the bible are from different people and you can see the styles change.

I think the (simple) catchy ones stick better. We can relate to them better and apply them to many situations

of course there is widsom in what he said. Its one of the reasons Christianity has been so successful.

I completely disagree with Hitlers beliefs, but that below person is right. Hitler is considered a very very good speaker. How else do you thing he gained control of the german people. He had to gain his way to power with winning the people before he could "miss use" his power. He also streamlined mass assembly lines which help the world economy for years.
Still a rotten piece of s**T if I don't say so myself.

Its a good thing hitler didn't say anything simple or catchy

Yes. I think speaking in parables was a good way of communicating. The story of the prodigal son is my personal favorite. The things he said and taught were timeless and that's why people continue to refer to them two thousand years later. And it doesn't matter if people wrote about Jesus seventy years after he died. Seventy years from now, I could write about my youth pretty accurately, even if I did embellish a few things. My grandfather tells me stories about World War II in astounding detail, because it was such a profound and defining time in his life. I imagine that, for the disciples, it was the same. The things that Jesus said were so revolutionary at the time that they would be constantly retold and thus, people would remember them long after He was gone.

I love the way Jesus taught and spoke. It left you in a position where there was really only one right answer. Any other answer let everyone else know exactly where you stood, and it wasn't in a positive light. Few people speak this way anymore. It's a shame, because there is such great wisdom in his style. It shows that A) he knew what he was talking about, and B) that going against what he said proved you were not in favor of what the laws taught. That's some serious word power right there. Imagine if you could do that to political pundits. We may never have another president again.

Considering the bible was written 400 years after the death of him i'd think it's safe to say that when the book states the word of jesus it's actually a persons perception of his great, great, great, great, ect. grandfathers story that has passed down the supposed saying of jesus. The jesus I know lives around the block and borrows my lawn mowers every other week. His speech style is tex/mex and his wife cooks some mean enchiladas.

I am an atheist, but I think Jesus was an extremely cool guy. His answer about "render unto Caeser what is Caeser's, render unto God that which is God's" to the trap set by the pharisees, and his defence of the woman accused of adultery "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" suggest an individual of keen intellect and deep spirituality.

Yes I admire it.
His teachings were meant to appeal and be understood by all peoples so the world would follow his instruction and examples.

Doesnt seem like too many people are doing it, though.
