Every anti-immigration person says "illegals are causing to great a strain on our economy."
Do you realize there are the same number of foreign-born people in the US now as there has been in the past 100 years.
And how much less of a strain would the economy be under if the Bush administration hadn't "lost" $7 trillion. Not million, or even billion, TRILLION. Its gone and completely unaccounted for and the department of the pentagon that was investigating the "misplacement" was hit on 9-11, all documents destroyed.
$7 trillion lost by your fearless leader, and you blame immigrants for economic strain on our economy.
Why?

In two seperate fiscal years there was a total of $7 trillion lost, but in two seconds of googling "trillion dollars lost" I found many articles detailing misplaced funds.

Well Knalu, you don't seem to contribute any facts to the contrary.

I don't know where you get your numbers but you are wrong wrong wrong. Amnesty was given just a few years back and another ten million illegals have crossed the border. Fifty to sixty a minute.

Why do some of you you blame illegal immigrants?
If I were a Mexican and without good expectations for the future, I would immigrate to a country like the USA.
Not the Mexican are to be blamed but those of your own people, who are really exploiting these immigrants in an unacceptable way.
The mainest and the heaviest problem is overcrowding. Instead of spending billions of dollars by waging wars against countries which are thousands of miles away from the USA, not only the USA had better to fight against terrorism, criminality, organized criminality in the own land and poverty in the USA and the neighbor countries (and so overcrowding in these countries). But therefore citizen might be interested much more in politics and elect more competent and more honest politicians.
But that doesn't of course keep me from considering the USA among other nations as one of the most respectable.
Our duty is to pin and to criticize that and those who are the most guilty about the situation and not those who leave their homeland out of necessity.

Regan gave amnesty to illegals from Mexico, but that didn't stop more illegals coming here. I know people who have lost their jobs because the employer hired illegals. He said he could pay them less and make them work more hours, because they were too afraid to report him to anyone. So why have the minimum wage if people will work for less? They do hurt the economy in more ways than you think.

Illegals are coddled, pandered to, hugged and kissed by politicians.
If I broke the law as a citizen, I'd be fined or jailed and I wouldn't be tolerated.
Illegals need to be rounded up and sent back to their countries and the border needs to be secured. And any American employer who hires them needs to be prosecuted. Either we are a nation of laws or we aren't.

It's the illegals that we are concerned about, and if they are a drain now, wait until amnesty is passed

your info is very interesting, i must admit, but i want facts ... links please. also, it has been proven that a country cannot take in a poor country and survive as the immigrants will surely use more than they will ever contribute. they will burden and ruin the host country. no one country can save everyone. please don't ask us to. i struggle also and i work hard also. i get no special favors. illegals get better treatment than our military and thats another proven fact.
don't you think if we could help and it wasn't painful, we would be helping you more? we give your corrupt country loads of cash and nothing changes. not our fault. we have our own problems with our own govt

Whats your point? You obviously can draw a correlation between two totally unrelated issues using inaccurate language showing your bias without actually referring to a single fact. Congratulation's you are......
