Probably you have figured out from answers you have read that I have written and this question alone, that I am pro-life. But I am very interested to hear why you think it is ok to abort a baby at all especially just because you are not ready to parent?

Hey AJ have you seen pictures of aborted fetus' they look like babies to me. God also knew us long before we were in our mother's womb- and He created us. So if your child was less than a month old, as you say - and someone killed that baby what would you do? Say it is too young to be human? I doubt that seriously. If a "fetus" is not human until after birth, then why do women who have miscarriages grieve?

One question for Jamesmom- let me get this right. Did you say, that it should be allowed to have abortions so that babies will not grow up in orphanages and die? That almost sounds like the argument I heard from one of my son's teachers yesterday. He is doing a debate in government class on abortion- He is against- the teacher said, not a student but the teacher said- "Did you hear about the father who burned to death his baby in microwave? Parents like that who abuse their children should abort". As horrible as dying in orphanages and :microwaves is we have no right to not give the child a chance to live, We are murdering our children before the are born.

By the way there are more couples in america waiting for babies, that cannot adopt because there are so few women placing for adoption anymore. I know...I read that too, and I was apalled.
4,000 innocent babies slaughtered every day, it is unthinkable...it is unimaginable.
It might sound naive, but 4,000 women get pregnant with unwanted babies every day? 4,000 men getting these women pregnant? I mean, that's just...rather hard to understand. Doesn't ANYBODY use birth control? Are ALL the condoms broken? Has sex really gotten this out of control? How did this happen?
To answer your question, no. At least 93% of those abortions are insupportable. There is no way to justify murdering those helpless little ones. It is shocking to think that the most dangerous place in America for a child is in his own mother's womb....

When Msulims Slith lambs in their feast for food.. It's "Barbarian.. Savage" "Heartless" "How can Muslims kill a helpless creature for their own joy? That's a Massacre!".. What does it mean to "not ready to be a parent?" means you're 5 years old for instance? If it means the lack of money, we all know that US gov - and I respect it for that - pay an indemnification to poor parents to raise the baby... What else aren't a woman ready in?

No it is a holocaust, there have been over forty million abortions performed in the United States alone and the death toll is still rising.

Most of the kids up for adoption are nonwhite, disabled, older and male. They usually don't get adopted. People wait five years or longer for healthy, 'normal', white baby newborn girls. I don't want to see crack addicts and women with HIV not getting no prenatal care but having children. No amount of P.C. rhetoric about aborting a disabled child will change my mind. If there is no home, no help and no desire on the part of the parent(s) to care for the child, he will be abandoned. Sticking kids in foster care or orphanages is fundamentally wrong if there are (could have been) better alternatives, like family reunification, custody with other relatives, respite care, parenting courses and adoption. It is an imperfect world.

This leads back to abortion. I am not against it. I don't consider a fetus under twelve weeks to be viable. Independent life is an aphorism. We all depend on the air, food supply, capitalist market system, jobs, water supply and health care system. A baby must be fed: he is dependent on his mother and father. He is not independent. He is a human being when born. I don't really agree with several abortions. With partial birth, it is a scary but debatable issue.

On a recent CBC Canada documentary, a woman who had four abortions while being a drug addict decided to become militantly pro-life and opposed all legal abortion, calling it 'murder'. If it is such a thing, why isn't she in jail, or does she not apply her own line of logic to herself? Why is she allowed to have four state-subsidized legal abortions? Why not a woman who makes a mistake? She is not allowed to have one or else, risk her life, fertility and jail? People do make mistakes.

Most women do not have several abortions. Maybe the government should only cover one and then, (any others) for a restricted set of reasons. How can this woman not practice what she preaches? She's going around to women's health clinics with a fetus in a jar and yelling at women? Why is she harassing them and calling their houses? Her actions are wrong. Nobody should be harassed. Sometimes, the pro-lifers set up an agency right beside a clinic and can get within fifty feet.

Tell you what sweetheart... how about you adopt these 4000 unwanted fetuses? You find surrogate mothers to carry them to term. You find foster parents to raise them, feed them, shelter them, put them through college and ensure they become healthy, well adjusted members of society, and I'll agree we should stop aborting them. You go before congress and tell them we need to raise taxes to fund the construction of all the new orphanages to accommodate all these babies (and their needs) until they're adopted. You try and find pediatricians and nurses coming out of med school who will take the wonderfully low paying govt. jobs caring for these children. You figure out how to deal with the burden on the public education system (and we all know how well orphans are accepted in public schools.)

And before you shout adoption, show me all the normal, non-dysfunctional foster homes for the thousands of non-white, non-English speaking, uneducated, adolescent males that are already languishing in orphanages.

See, this is the problem with you soapbox, bible-thumping right-to-lifers. All you know how to do is whine and cry about what is immoral, but none of you have practical, affordable solutions for the problems associated with a million unwanted babies being born each year (most of which are in 3rd world nations where a great many will starve to death anyway because the mother's have insufficient nutrition to lactate.)

I do not think it is ever justified to abort a fetus or embryo. As soon as the sperm fertilizes the egg, a new human being with its own DNA is created. In fact, an "unborn" baby has its own heart, blood supply, and DNA. It is NOT the woman's body, so it is not her choice.
