Yes, you and every other person born on this planet should be treated with respect and love, just as the Savior would have done.
But you'll often find, especially in here, that those that claim to be followers of Christ don't follow his example at all. Be they Catholic, Baptist, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, etc.
"...They draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me..."

All people who act respectable deserve respect in return.
I do not agree with many things the Mormons teach. More importantly, I believe the Bible does not agree with many things the Mormons teach, but there are many things about Mormons I respect.
I respect that the Mormons teach good, morale living. I respect the emphasis on evangelism that is practiced in the Mormon church. As I said, there are many things I respect.
I believe Mormons are for the most part sincere and honest about the things they believe, however, I believe they are sincerely and honestly mistaken.
While they may be good, morale people, I believe they are following a false doctrine. They call the Book of Mormon "another testament". Galatians 1:6-9 says if any teach "another gospel" then they are "accursed". The Gospel, or "the Faith" "was once for all delivered to the saints." (Jude 3 - NKJV)
This leaves no room for latter day revelations.

Ethan, it sounds like you are testing your own faith. You know that everyone should get the same respect that he exhibits. Our Father has told us so. Treat others as you would have them treat you. Respect the opinions of others, talk openly on any subject if your partner agrees, maintain your silence if the other is offended. Respect the fact that he may not understand what you claim to believe. Try to understand what he preaches, even if you don't agree. Teach by example. Build your testimony by walking in confidence...and humility.

I think so. I don't like it when people show disrespect or mock others for their beliefs. To me that is just their showing their own insecurities about what they believe. Obviously from the other answers you've recieved people don't like to have it shoved down their throats but it's okay to talk to people about it if they seem okay with it . The best thing is to just be a good person and treat others with respect. If you do that and they don't show resect back then they aren't worth worrying about because they probably treat everyone that way.

Sure, I respect your right to believe in an invented religion that teaches that you will be a god and have eternal bliss on another planet. I also respect the FLDS who still believe in polygamy, and Islam who believe in killing infidels to get 72 virgins in heaven.

Jesus taught acceptance and tolerence ,Yes you should always be respected and weather you are right or wrong is the judgement of god not me or Jerry fallwell or even the pope. I have my views of alot of different religions and that is okay but to disrespect the views of another human being is to assume the role of God and is the truest form of blasphemy.

We are to rebuke them sharply that subvert whole households and teach things that they ought not to teach.Nor are we to wish you God's speed.

I start by showing everyone respect regardless of their religious beliefs. But if my beliefs differ from theirs, and they feel that they need to change my beliefs to match theirs, than that respect is quickly lost.

Nobody automatically gets respect in my world. I wouldn't even demand it for myself without earning it.
Courtesy you get for free, respect you have to earn. I can respect that you have different religious opinions to mine but I could never respect those opinions.

Respect is a two way thing...... one can't expect respect from others when he/she goes around telling people you will burn in hell and demand respect because he/she have a giant imaginary master that grant his wishes as and when he felt like it (99.9999% he does not grant any wishes, but for that 0.0001%, he expect your eternal praise).
