There are many death bed confessions, and, yes, they go to heaven. Remember the 11th hour? Prodigal son? God is merciful.

if you are talking about confession as in going to a priest and confess your sins- you could still not be in heaven, due to the fact you did not go to Jesus who is the High Priest, and the only mediator between God and us- but if you went to Jesus your last day on earth and confessed your sins directly to Him, and asked Him to be your Lord and Savior yes, you would be in Heaven. By the way, if you are that person who is going to wait until your last day, you may not know what day that will be, so TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION- but once again, like the theives on the cross next to Jesus, one went to heaven one did not, because the one mocked Jesus and the other admitted he was a sinner in need of a Savior,

Everyone sins all their life. Going to confession to a priest does no good. But if someone sincerely confesses to Jesus Christ, even on their death bed, they will be saved and go to heaven.

If you ask for forgiveness and truely repent yes even on the last day of your life you can have salvation. This very thing happened to the man on the cross next to Jesus.
Keep in mind many many of us never no when the end will come. Life is but a vapor.

Luke 23:39-43
39 But one of the hung evildoers began to say abusively to him: “You are the Christ, are you not? Save yourself and us.” 40 In reply the other rebuked him and said: “Do you not fear God at all, now that you are in the same judgment? 41 And we, indeed, justly so, for we are receiving in full what we deserve for things we did; but this [man] did nothing out of the way.” 42 And he went on to say: “Jesus, remember me when you get into your kingdom.” 43 And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise.”

If you're sincerely sorry for what you've done, then you could very well be forgiven. But Jesus can look into the heart, and you can't practice sin, with the hope that in the future you'll repent. Besides, how do you know when you're going to die, or when Armageddon will come?

1 Thessalonians 5:2-6
2 For YOU yourselves know quite well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. 3 Whenever it is that they are saying: “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them just as the pang of distress upon a pregnant woman; and they will by no means escape. 4 But YOU, brothers, YOU are not in darkness, so that that day should overtake YOU as it would thieves, 5 for YOU are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to night nor to darkness.

Well some christians teach that it depends on how heartfelt you are in the confession. If you don't really mean the confession your loving god will let you suffer away from him in hell for eternity because you sinned for 70 years. Sounds like a just and loving god huh?

I think if you are truley sorry for your sins then you will be right with God. I'm not sure I believe that you have to go to Confession to clear up your sins. I'm not catholic and have never done that but I do pray to god to forgive me.

If you go to confession, God will forgive you, it's merely a matter of accepting His forgiveness. You might spend some extra time in Purgatory for your sins, but once you're in Purgatory, you know you're definitely going to Heaven someday.

I thought the last day was about a month ago. I hoped to have houses, vehicles, etc left behind for us sinners.
