Your question implies that proper education eliminates the problem of religion. There must be a problem with the quality of education here then, right? No. Wait a minute. The highly educated are telling the stupid Christians that they are ignorant, yet they were educated in the same system. So the highly educated are just as stupid as the stupid, so.....

The problem is that you think that there is no basis for understanding God. But you are wrong, as many unfortunately are.
Just realize that you don't know everything there is to know about God.Specifically the God in the Bible. None of us do, but some of us are getting to know him. I claim that too.
So you can understand it, especially if you really want to know. Otherwise, comment heard, and understood. You don't have to know him if you don't want to.

Your point is invalid because it assumes that religion is a problem. Intolerance for religion is the same thing as intolerance between religions...in other words most atheists aren't making the world any better.
