Screw all those guys that said you shouldn't sing; I'm a kid, and I say you should definitely do a song. Especially if you play guitar or piano yourself, I would recommend All My Life by The Beatles; great song, probably a tear jerker, but it'll be a great way to leave. Good luck

If you have been a teacher there for a long time, sing a "Golden oldie". One that the children have sung for a long time. Sing a song that you have taught them for a while so that it will remind them of you everytime they sing it. If you have not taught them for a long time, choose one that the children particularly enjoy but make sure it has a "goodbye" theme to it.

I love the song that was sung by the children in The Sound of Music when the children were leaving the party and going to bed.
Good luck to you!

DUDE. U GOTTA DO "The End" by My chemical romance. heres the lyrics. it has a deeper meaning than the lyrics.
Now come one come all to this tragic affair
Wipe off that makeup, what's in is despair
So throw on the black dress, mix in with the lot
You might wake up and notice you're someone you're not
If you look in the mirror and don't like what you see
You can find out firsthand what it's like to be me
So gather 'round piggies and kiss this goodbye
I'd encourage your smiles I'll expect you won't cry
Another contusion, my funeral jag
Here's my resignation, I'll serve it in drag
You've got front row seats to the penitence ball
When I grow up I want to be nothing at all!
I said yeah, yeah!
I said yeah, yeah!
C'mon C'mon C'mon I said
(Save me!) Get me the hell out of here
(Save me!) Too young to die and my dear
(You can't!) If you can hear me just walk away and
(Take me!)

Hate to be rhetorical...but is there a wish or saying that you have for your students? (Bob Dylan's "Forever Young") A favorite band or Broadway show? ("Memory" from Cats; "Good Riddance" by Green Day)
Or write your own lyrics to a 12-bar blues and have fun!

To the kids, you can sing Edelweiss from The Sound of Music (adieu, adieu, to you, and you, and you...)
To your boss you can sing Johnny Paycheck's Take This Job And Shove It... just joking. Congrats on moving to greener pastures.

How about "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday" by Boys II Men?
How do I say goodbye to what we had?
The good times that made us laugh
Outweigh the bad.
I thought we'd get to see forever
But forever's gone away
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
I don't know where this road
Is going to lead
All I know is where we've been
And what we've been through.
If we get to see tomorrow
I hope it's worth all the wait
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
And I'll take with me the memories
To be my sunshine after the rain
It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
